First time checking in on this layout Nice work

Morning to all RM Webbers and to all have a great Christmas and new year, its been a while again I know with regards to re sprays but have five Colas 60's on the go which some will feature on Troutons and on my own layout which is to start in the new year Burnroyd Works. Please find the progress so far

its been a while - hope I have found my mojo back and cracking on with some Colas 60'S ,hope to have ready for Warley and for friends and Neil I hope you got yours sorted.

Well started another batch Colas locos 5 x 60's so will keep posting pics of the progress .

managed to get a run out on the Colas 37421 and 60021 although lights were playing up on the 37.

Well busy weekend this week doing the garden lol. but the GBRF project still ongoing got the body on the chassis added some painted detial to the bogies and now on for the wethering job not too heavy so last shot of ex works for D1916.

HI Marcus Cheers for the kind comments and yes it seems very odd to me, but i thought i would try to create the effect. Im sure you will know someone who knows the answer Neil.

Morning all had a busy weekend but managed to add the cantral lines and spray the gloss coat.applied the decals and then mask off to create that strange effect where they have a gloss patch behind each cab? not sure why but i think i have got something near. Looking forward now to putting all the glazing back in and dropping on the chassis and give it a test run out tehn to the weathering and it will make its debut at the Halifax show this Spetemebr.

Well had too many beers this bank holiday so progress was slow on the GBRF 47 two tone green but getting there just need to add the cantral lines and then to the spray booth for the gloss coats.

Well cant seem to keep up with livery changes these days . so cracking on, sherwood green coat applied then masked off and applied the dark loco green.Removed the masking tape and its not looking too bad. next some roof panals to paint light grey and the buffer beam to red,ass some foot plates and then the decals.

well its been a while chaps so dustted off the old spray gun and decided to get busy will start with a GBRF 47 the nice two tone green on hire at the moment got a spare Vitrains body so will get cracking

Morning Jack yes it works really well if you had some mesh roof fan grills to the 56's and then the side grills to the lima 60 and hand rails etc. if sprayed to the same standard and decals applie the lead loco takes the eye and most people never know and not from 2-3 feet away works really well steel away, glad to help and bonus, its cheaper.

Well got the decals applied to the Lima 60 and took a photo of the lima and Hornby 60's the Lima is the top one but once two satins coats applied and the windows put back in this will look ok runnung as a dummy runner behind the Hornby 60 this weekend at Pontefract weather permitting.

just gone through the whole thread what a really nice layout some very good skills on show and it looks very nice. look forward to seeing more this year .

Hornby Suore deatail in front - behind Lima claas 60 detailed up i think it will look ok

ok really cracked on with the Lima 60 trying to make it look good enough to run behind a Hornby class 60. all i need to do now is varnish and add the decalls then two satin sprays ,with getting rid of some of the plastic on the inside nose front ends on the Lima it has fitted nicley onto a fre erunning (no moter )Hornby chassis Also a few pics of the Horndy Colas 60 with bogie pipework and steps painted, to give it the out of the factory look for this weekend and Pontefract, then grime will be added. also on pic of the Lima behind the Hornby getting ready for the decals.

Hello friend i use only rail match and Precision i'm afriad and yes sometimes the light can decieve ,but its standard rail match ornage. i either mask off and spray or on some loco maske off using tamyia masking tape and paint in betwwen the fine line created by using two 6mm strips leave a 1mm gap or less if you can.

yeah not too bad will be close run thing getting it finished for Pontefract though

been very busy again with work and everything picking up on the Lima class 60 conversion to Colas 60 dummy to run double headed on the layout hope to have i done for next weekend Pontefract show .

converted Lima 60 body now being sprayed to another Colas loco to add to the fleet
