My two pence. Nothing in there for me, and I am not moaning! interesting to see several more 158’s being pumped out, seen a fair few over the last year - however the northern livery was over due. MK2F’s ? Have Bachmann forgotten that they have the tooling for this? Blue / Grey offerings are going for silly money, Scotrail DBSO the same. Still waiting for some Anglia stock to go with the DBSO released? Feel like the 47’s have been forgotten about too, I can’t be the only one to be wanting a West Coast 47 in the new tooling?

Great work as always! Fantastic inspiration for us all watching on 😃 -
Some of my resprays completed with Railtech transfers. Easy to work with and a fantastic range to pick from.

can you share that image of the 60 please? 😃

RevolutioN Trains announce HOA in OO gauge
WCML100 replied to MGR Hooper!'s topic in Revolution Trains
I look forward to seeing your work on these Mick! -
That's an extremely interesting picture! Especially as we are only modelling 3 stations up the way from here - any ideas on why they were here / what they were used for etc?

Couple more quick questions from me - I note in your workings chart that the VTG grey ones were listed to get up to West Ruislip. I haven't seen anything showing that they made it further west during the later years than Acton. Do you have any research to show them working to West Ruislip at all? Also they bogies on these wagons are fantastic - is it something you may offer as a spare at all? thanks

RevolutioN Trains announce HOA in OO gauge

Just thought I would bump this thread as these should be due soon according to the Revolution Project page. Can you tell I am excited? 😆 -
Thanks Ed! I agree one of my preferred liveries on a 66! Thanks, the Hattons 66’s are coming up more regularly on ebay at more reasonable prices in the last few months since their value dropped after the Accurascale re incarnation announcement. Keep on the ball and you will bag one! I Cannot claim the weathering as my own but the only 2 wheeler types I thought were worthy of being shown as part of a ‘short’ engineering working!

These are looking great! Looking forward to seeing them in the flesh!

Wouldn’t mind some Anglia MK2F’s to go with the DBSO ? A west coast 47 in the new tool will go down a treat too any other modern shouts?

Recently I had the chance to buy a second Hatton's Colas 66 at a very reasonable price. Not only was it 66847 (not 66848 that I already own) - it seemed like an opportunity too good to miss. Given the good price and in decent condition I wanted to use it along side 66848 on engineering trains and have always wanted to top n tail them - so this seemed like the perfect opportunity to do that. The next decision was how to set this up and I would use them on the layout - so decided on removing the motor and gears etc and have 66847 as a dummy / free rolling. I also had some DCC concepts LED flashing tail lights and thought how good and unique it would be in model form to see an operational one on the rear lamp iron flashing away. Something you don't see all that often on model railways. So after removing the motor and gears etc - I set to work investigating how to wire in the flashing tail light and how I would place it on the loco. Either I am extremely lucky, or Hatton's were very forward thinking when they designed this model. The lamp irons, for their size are fairly durable - so I filed down the stalk on the back of the DCC concepts flashing tail light, making it look more like the real thing. I was then able to directly glue the flashing tail light onto the lamp iron. The next part was to work out how the two very thing wires would head into the body - now this is where the luck comes in; at the base of the lamp iron is a very small hole leading straight into the body - something you wouldn't usually notice but it couldn't have been more perfect for this scenario. I soldered the wires to the accessory decoder provided with the tail light by DCC concepts and the wires from that on to the circuit board pads used for the already built in pick ups for the loco. A nice small little project - which I am quite proud of considering I am not extremely confident with customising locos etc. A nice dusting of weathering at some point and this loco will be ready to go! I have set it up in a mock, short top n tail engineering rake with x2 OBA's along with 66848 at the front and it works well. I would like to hear your thoughts on the setup and how it looks - for now enjoy some pictures and a short video of the top n tail working!

seconded from myself. Top top work mate, the scene is definitely a ‘second guesser’ to whether it is genuinely real or not! Really looks the part!

Hi @Accurascale Fran & @McC had a few questions regarding these superb wagons. Looking to model some of the VTG variant and noticed the rakes that made it into the 2010’s seemed to be more varied… My understanding of reading back through the thread and some limited research is they were in fixed formations of 5 or 10 with 2 outers and the remaining inners. This only changed when they started work on the mendips and individual wagons started to be swapped in and out of different rakes more regularly. This meaning that the 5 or 10 sets were not really the case any more. As you have only released these in sets of fives, is there any logical way of building up rakes of the mendip and more recent rakes? For example I am looking at a rake which is x1 VTG (Outer), x5 VTG (Inner), x2 VTG (Outer), x7 VTG (Inner), x1 Yeoman ‘Y’ (Outer) seen here in the first clip of this video on youtube (not mine): https://youtu.be/ngQWiSzJrYo I appreciate you sell in packs of 5 to keep costs down but is there a simple way to try and build up a prototypical rake such as this that can be done a future batch? Also, is there any plans to produce further inners or runs of the VTG livery any time soon as it has been a few years became available, and the later Yeoman ‘Y’ livery type ? Thanks Peter

Any chance of a West Coast Railways example... ? 😆 I can't be the only one waiting on one of these? -
Thanks! That has certainly wet the appetite... Looking forward to getting myself a rake of these now!
