  1. Northern Rail. Regional Railways, Arriva, Tyne and Wear PTE and a certain Northern Spirit (I haven't heard of this) Cheers!
  2. I love the quality of the 3D print. But did anyone notice that it's printed in 2 halves? Can clearly see a line down the middle which looks like the join. Who does these 3D prints?
  3. I am just too impressed by these. The quality of the 3D print looks stunning. Any idea where such quality prints are done?
  4. Looks to be a first EP rather than a 3D print....
  5. About 5 I think... 6 if it's 2016
  6. I am looking forward to seeing the Class 68 now...Absolutely stunning!!
  7. I'd love to see the Class 68
  8. It looks spectacular..... 3D print has come out very very well. Should I move to British N gauge? Tom did you take pictures of anything else? Did Dapol or Hornby have more to show?
  9. I feel so sad that I couldn't make it to "Alexandra Palace" today in London to go see the exhibition. I was really looking forward to visiting the Hornby Hobbies stand..... I really wanted to attend their "Development Talk" and see more of their pre-production samples. The GWR King, SR S15, Class 71, Adams Radial and LNER J70 should be on display. I'm guessing painted sample of the S15, First EP of the King and advanced rapid-prototyes of the Class 71. I'm sure the...

      They only had the same 3D printed prototypes on display of all of the above as seen in the photos here on RMweb i'm afraid.

      I am hoping someone has recorded the talk..... The GWR King looks like a 1st EP from the tooling. What about the S15?

  10. After seeing the Admin's reply on the Hornby Forums, I've got no hope that anything will be announced on 28th or 29th..... I fail to see why they keep saying announcements are due soon but soon isn't soon is it? Since August last year Hornby reps have told me that a TTTE announcement was due very soon as the range was being reviewed. I'm waiting for very soon to come.
  11. I wonder how old I'll be when the range is announced. And it will be mighty irritating if it's just the same old range
  12. Pretty cheesed off! I so badly wanted a Hornby Class 31. Saw one online for a great price. The previous owner ruined that lovely model. For a moment I thought I could finally have a Hornby Class 31.

      50% off? Is that off the price or off the model due to corrosion?

      @AndyB

      Nope, it's just an 11 year old model. The chassis was fine. The body wasn't handled well by the previous owner.

      @BADB

      No, it's a super-detail one, not ex-Lima.

  13. Some more great stuff from Hornby....Hornby's new management certainly are striving to get things back track. Introducing "The Engine Shed". A bi-weekly blog written by the Hornby developers showing us a little more behind the scenes work. http://www.Hornby.com/uk-en/news/the-engine-shed/welcome-to-the-engine-shed/ http://www.Hornby.com/uk-en/forum/engine-shed/?p=1 Cheers! J
  14. I'm least impressed and very upset with this paint job. I've seen better from Farish, Dapol and Arnold. I am just hoping this isn't a praduction sample and rather something hastily put together just for BRM. I'm not to impressed with the moulded handrail, whilst I don't mind it, it doesn't stand out too well.
  15. Hi E3109, Nice stuff on here....I design and plan to make Indian models in 1:101 scale. I look forward to seeing more stuff. Great work
  16. Thanks everyone for the info, I'm sorry for a late reply. My internet was too slow. Never let me rate posts as "Thanks" also.
  17. Please excuse the dumb question.... But which Merchant Navy are they making exactly? The CAD images show this The other images on Hornby's website show this The part above the smokebox door looks different and so does the casing around the cylinders.... Are they making both? Or just the one in the CAD? Jeff.
  18. I lost my patience waiting for any news relating to an announcement relating to Hornby's TTTE range and Hornby-Arnold's N gauge range. Of course if they swoop down to steal someone's thunder. I may be amazed
  19. Hey guys, I am also pretty fascinated with those BR Blue steam locos. I want a start a small collection of them. Which King is being released in BR Blue? Cheers! J
