  1. Who me From this shot it looks like you have a short piece of rail coming loose, missing chair just after the common crossing nearest the front
  2. Doesn't anybody read the posts before commenting, if read, you would see that the layout was attacked by mice who left sh1t and wee all over the layout and track, which has corroded the ns rail Geoff
  3. Have you got the colours and texture correct on the cutting mat Geoff
  4. You've forgot what I said in a previous post about turnout operating units Geoff
  5. Stu How can you recommend Cobalts being that you have operated BCB and experienced the trouble we have had, and sometimes still do Geoff
  6. wel the link to the picture states "water tower parts" Geoff
  7. Found this thread on the nominated list of layouts in the Britsh Model Railway Awards link at top of the page, it's worth a vote Regards Geoff
  8. Their would be a problem with speed matching, some loco's move slower than others Geoff
  9. Good choice, just don't forget to omit the framework where the turnout TOU is, and you may have to cut into the Birch Ply depending how close you are to the TOU Geoff
  10. I think you have got their Hanging the two front boards loosely will help you to assemble the four boards that you are currently working on, but have you realised that you will have to do this for the complete layout all the way along it's length, every time you assemble/disassemble the layout I don't think doing it the other way, splitting the boards across the layout is a possibility due to the type of legs, you would have to start at one end taking off the front and back boards together, but then their isn't the legs to hold these two boards up whilst you part them Regards Geoff
  11. 2003 was more than a few years ago, and apparently the boards got built that fast, that their was no time to take photographs Regards Geoff
  12. I think the problem was me putting that one signal on two longer length of cable, really needed another servo board did think that we could of had a spot of trouble with it, it was worth a try Iv'e got 24 servo's on NHC doing the turnouts and they never give any trouble, using MERG servo4 Geoff
  13. I thought it was like a switched diamond but now having another look it only appears on one side of the crossing Geoff
  14. I think the drives must be purpose made by High Level being that their is nothing on the High Level website like them Geoff
  15. If you look at the diagram the top switch that handles the track section is a ON-OFF-ON so their can be total isolation of any section whether you are using DC or DCC With regards running DC locos on a DCC system I thought that this was being phased out It's to easy to mistakenly switch that section that's holding the DC loco on, and the first sign of trouble will be the loco letting the smoke out, when the layouts in DCC mode Geoff
  16. I always fit two droppers per rail length, it just seems good practice and doesn't really create that much more work, but definitely increases reliability Regards Geoff
