  1. Looking on eBay the other day I found an R30202 2022 Hornby Collector Club Locomotive with the triang railways branding on one side and Hornby railways on the other side for £24 delivered much cheaper than joining the club that was no longer good value for me being I’m disabled so I’ve had to watch the pennies an bit recently so I was pleased to be able to continue my collection as I have every club loco since they started the postman came this morning all looking good till I opened the box and found I had a three wheeled loco . interestingly it was the side to the back of the box that was loose so it going back to the seller for a refund
  2. Thanks Steve That’s very helpful I didn’t want to go messing with the wrong CVs a mess up the sound or something that’s tomorrow morning job sorted that would be my only criticism of the deltic the the DCC instructions could be more comprehensive.not everyone can understand the General ESU manual
  3. can anyone tell me the CV for the cab lighting ? I would like it a little brighter
  4. here's the link for the information on the website incase anyone else needs it https://www.accurascale.com/pages/support#reamaze#0#/kb/class-55-deltic
  5. Received my D9002 today what a locomotive 👍 My first accurascale product it won’t be my last. just two questions does it have missing screws for the speaker? I’m not getting any issues with the sound a the moment and how do you change the head code? I don’t want to take the body of if I don’t have too so will leave that if it’s a body removal job My first accurascale product it won’t be my last. did miss out on the purple one as a I was asleep when the email came though last week .hopefully there will be another run of these
  6. Thanks Eric I had a look and it was the little PCBs for the cab and top headlight that were in the wrong way up .took the PCB out a put it back in the correct way and the locomotive is now operating correctly all three lights on F0 and the cabs on F1 and F2
  7. It’s a lais DCC 21pin . I seen to remember when the locos first came out something about the PCBs boards being upside down or something.not sure if that effects my loco or not
  8. I’ve had my number 12 Sarah siddons locomotive running for the first time in a few years I think my lighting may be wrong can anyone tell me how they should work on DCC ? i have the bottom front and cab coming on with F0 toplight with F1 and rear top light on F2
  9. Just an update to bring this post to a conclusion I now have the sound working again. I have used a dc kits princess royal sound file and I’m very happy with it. I would say it’s the best UK steam sound I have it’s up there with my big boy and Roco S160.£20 well spent I think the original sound file was corrupt or had a bit missing thanks, everyone for your help
  10. I've given up the sounds are all over the place on different functions to the manual going to order a new sound file I think that would be the simplest and easiest thanks for your help
  11. i've now set driving to ignore .but I'm still only geting sound while the loco is moving could it be that the volume for that part of the sound has been turned off? is there a CV i can check ? or could i have lost that part of the sound file ?
  12. just as a last attempt to work out what wrong I've posted some screen shots below showing the decoder on the lokprogramer
  13. Thanks everyone for your help Found the function mapping button and made sure that F1 'driving' is set to 'ignore' but it’s still not working is there a way to check what sound is assigned to f1 ? When to loco isn’t moving? Anyone know where I can get a decoder reblow via email that’s not too expensive
  14. its definitely a loksound v4 Richard I will give it a try later tonight
  15. it's a Hornby sound file so I won't get any help there
  16. thanks Hamburger I've not found the mapping list just to check what should it be set to ? ignore, yes,no thanks for all your help
  17. thanks Hamburger I am a bit lost to be honest .i can't see where to look to Check whether the condition is set to "only when driving" has accidentally been set for F1. thanks Oliver
  18. I’ve had the decoder on the lokprogramer is it possible I’ve messed some up? I have tried resetting cv 8 to 8 no different when the loco is Stationary no sound form f1 but it works when running and all other sounds work could I have turned the volume down by mistake as I can hear a faint popping sound when I press f1
  19. I seem to have lost the sound on a ESU loksound v4 when the loco isn't moving on f1 it works when the loco is running . all the other sound are ok Sound files are a Hornby princess class what can i do to get them back ?
  20. thanks everyone for you replys I’m going to order a zimo decoder and keep the Hatton’s one incase I need just a lighting decoder
  21. thanks Iain if this helps with the power requirements the locomotives I've tried it in in are a DJ J94 and a Bachmann class 03 I will have a look at the ZIMO decoders
  22. I wonder if anybody on here can help me? I have been given a locomotive and DCC decoder as a present from a friend. When I fitted the decoder to the locomotive it would not run more than a 1/4 of the turn of the wheels before resetting and starting again sometimes it would run for a little longer before starting the whole thing again. The locomotive runs fine on analogue and has no problems whatsoever and just to rule out the loco completely I have tried the decoder in another locomotive with the same results. I have tried resetting the decoder with CV8 to a value of 8 but that doesn't resolve the issue. The strange thing is it seems to run okay on my ESU decoder tester The decoder is a Hattons six pin. Is there anything else I can try before putting it in the bin and buying another decoder? I can't send it back as it is second hand i have included a photo of the decoder to help identify it
  23. I wonder if this affects pre-orders with Hornby on their own online store Not good news Hornby are getting too expensive for me and I will have to cancel some of my orders and will not be able to buy much it the future
  24. Looks like I have a faulty model the tender wheels are very stiff the middle one will sometimes lockup. I have tried to make it free running by carefully adjusting the pickups and put tiny drop of oil on the axle This helps a little but it's still not quite right it will sometimes the locomotive will slow down and then speed up thinking it's more than just the tender and could be the motor It's a DC model with no decoder fitted I'm running with a gaugemaster model D that's only a about two years old I will be contacting locomotion to see what they say. I may just send it back for a refund as I'm very disappointed Looks a a great model though and the tender coupling is a great idea
  25. I will be an OAP by the time bear comes out and I'm currently only 36 .how many years ago was it announced three ?
