  1. Go Away From My World - Marianne Faithfull.
  2. Hi, DaveF, excellent selection of photo's. The HST reminds me of summer Saturday's on the Hull to Scarborough line, in 1991, when in spite of some tight curvature on that line, an HST service ran over the line. I think it was from Kings Cross, but I stand to be corrected on this. The ballast train reminds me of reballasting work at Beverley in late 1983, were a class 40 - unidentified - ran over the newly relaid down line between the station and Cherry Tree crossing - it was groaning and really moving up and down the relaid track which had not yet been tamped! The 40 kept on the rails in spite of that. Memories come forth from your wonderful photo's, please post more of them. Many thanks. All the best, Market65.
  3. Silence Is Golden - The Tremeloes.
  4. Poison Glen by Clannad off the Anam album.
  5. Hi, DaveF, what excellent photo's these are. I see in the one of class 40 D276, that it still has the bogie mechanical lubricator fitted. I love all that snow! All the best, Market65.
  6. Hi, Sandside, that last photo in B&W looks very realistic - I wonder if Andy Y will be doing something like that for the photo-shoot? All the best, Market65.
  7. The Beautiful People - Marilyn Manson.
  8. In Scarborough today, I noticed this title at Stephen Joseph Theatre, which I thought was quite funny, in a strange way. Thankfully the train I caught back home was not the last train to either Scarborough or back! All the best, Market65.
  9. Hi, Colin, it is good to see the units looking harmonious, now that you've got that last bit of work completed. It is indeed excellent to see such very high standards in model-making. I think I can also add MJT to the list of possible DMU door handles, for their Mk1 pack of handles is what I've used on DMU kits. I also hope that Newhaven will not be gone for too long. All the best, Market65.
  10. Hi, DaveF, another excellent selection of photo's, many thanks for posting them. The class 40, 40 257 on the down express passenger, October '72 is interesting in that the crew of the 40 may have made an error with the discs. There are three open, when, of course, it should just be the bottom two, one above each buffer. And yes the emu in the snow is a great photograph. Thanks again, and look forward to more photo's. Allt the best, Market65.
  11. Yes the Hornby 01 was one of the best locomotives to come from them, and out of interest here is a photo of one on my layout. I should add it is not running wrong line - it is a single track railway. Sorry about the askew pony, didn't notice it until afterwards! All the best, Market65.
  12. Keep The Customer Satisfied - Simon and Garfunkel.
  13. Hi DaveF, that photo of Nottingham Midland goods yard 1951 is indeed a good example of how much the carriage of freight has changed over to road over all these years - that photo is most thought provoking. The summers of '75 and '76 were indeed somewhat different, in that there were some notable thunderstorms in '75 - one of which produced snow (quite famously) over a part of London. All the best, Market65.
  14. Welcome To The Working Week - Elvis Costello.
  15. Hi, jwealleans, I love that D&S van. It is indeed a great kit. I wish I had known, back at the start of the 1980's about the kit - for I had a go at scratchbuilding one of these vans! Cannot remember just when the kit was first introduced - maybe the early '90's? All the best, Market65.
  16. Hi, DaveF, the class 114 DMU in early B.R. blue looks good. These are without doubt wonderful photo's indeed. Many thanks for them and hopefully more to come. All the best Market65.
  17. Hi, DaveF, terrific views. I like the point-rodding that can be seen in the class 31 photo's as well as the signal. Interesting details for all modellers. Please post more when you can. All the best, Market65.
  18. Hi Sandside, I love the WD, and a mate of mine must have been one of the first modellers to make - out of plasticard and paper-clips - the tool rack for the fire-irons back in 1999(I think it was). All the best, Market65.
  19. Loving Time by Mary Black - a soothing listen for me.
  20. Hi jwealleans, the D 183 brake composite, one of your recent models, is one which I particularly like. I believe that at least one of these coaches worked on one of the services to Whitby from York or Malton. There is a photo in the book 'North - Eastern Branch line Termini' by Ken Hoole, page 142, with, almost certainly, one these coaches, in one of the bay platforms. Dated 6th March, 1952. I've followed your work for quite some time and just love what you've been accomplishing. All the best, Market65.
  21. Hi DaveF, the view of those 20's is also reminiscent of summer extra's on the line to Bridlington in the 70's. The photo of Wyberton crossing is a image of the type of crossing that is, mostly, long gone - but it is one which makes me want to have a go at making a model of it. This such good stuff that you are spoiling us with! Thank you. All the best, Market65.
