  1. Hi, DaveF, terrific views. I like the point-rodding that can be seen in the class 31 photo's as well as the signal. Interesting details for all modellers. Please post more when you can. All the best, Market65.
  2. Hi Sandside, I love the WD, and a mate of mine must have been one of the first modellers to make - out of plasticard and paper-clips - the tool rack for the fire-irons back in 1999(I think it was). All the best, Market65.
  3. Loving Time by Mary Black - a soothing listen for me.
  4. Hi jwealleans, the D 183 brake composite, one of your recent models, is one which I particularly like. I believe that at least one of these coaches worked on one of the services to Whitby from York or Malton. There is a photo in the book 'North - Eastern Branch line Termini' by Ken Hoole, page 142, with, almost certainly, one these coaches, in one of the bay platforms. Dated 6th March, 1952. I've followed your work for quite some time and just love what you've been accomplishing. All the best, Market65.
  5. Hi DaveF, the view of those 20's is also reminiscent of summer extra's on the line to Bridlington in the 70's. The photo of Wyberton crossing is a image of the type of crossing that is, mostly, long gone - but it is one which makes me want to have a go at making a model of it. This such good stuff that you are spoiling us with! Thank you. All the best, Market65.
  6. Hi, I think the layout is that great that, quite seriously, it will need to take up an entire issue of BRM, like Hursley did in an issue of MRJ. Look forward to that edition of BRM with eager anticipation. All the best, Market65.
  7. Hi, DaveF, I particularly like the class 40 on the crane and ballast wagons. Very atmospheric - especially in the frosty conditions. All the best, Market65.
  8. Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God) - Kate Bush.
  9. Hi, I particularly like the ex-LNE 21 ton hopper wagon. The weathering of it is fantastic. The idea of the layout appearing in a magazine - I second that idea. All the best, Market65.
  10. Hi Nelson, the finished wagon has turned out superbly. And to echoe a previous comment, the weathering is tremendous - far better than I was able to achieve in my teens! I look forward to your next project. All the best, Market65.
  11. These are truly excellent! You and your Father were really good at capturing the everyday railway. Many have over-looked this over the years, favouring the lure of express trains, etc. I also like to see the surrounding structures and scenery - alot of which no longer survives. Please do keep the photo's coming. All the best, Market65.
  12. I'm Gonna Run Away From You - Tami Lynn.
  13. Hi Sandside, I've also been looking at your layout thread as well. I like the consistently high level of model-making, the attention to detail and the thought processes behind what you've accomplished. It is bringing back all the old memories of the steam era from the 1960's for me and I particularly like those black and white images - they look so real. My layout is about thirty years old now, and I still have a long way to completion! I doubt it will ever be as good as your remarkable Bacup opus! Anyway, I will, as I have for the last couple of years - since I first came across Bacup - be looking out for more images etc, from you. All the best, Market65.
  14. Hi DaveF, more excellent photo's! Regarding the class 108 DMU headcode, I've checked a B.R. W orking Timetable which I have for Lincolnshire and Humberside 14 May 1979 to 11 May 1980. It is saying that class 4 trains, then at least, were freightliners! I've a feeling that the train crew may have just simply made an error - fascinating to see a DMU displaying a class 4 headcode though. Please keep these photo's coming. All the best, Market65.
  15. Hi there, I've built part of a row of cottages that used to exist along Southgate in Market Weighton - 4mm scale. The model was built about 10 years ago and, as far as I can remember is constructed from plasticard, Slaters roof tiling and some other materials. I hope that this is of some interest. All the best, Market65.
  16. Hi bluex5, you're quite right about the sound fitted D211. I've since purchased several chips for diesels and DMU's. A very expensive period of time since early March! But how great this sound thing is. Smoke next, I think, especialy after seeing the class 100 DMU with smoking exhaust pipes. All the best, Market65.
  17. Gringo En Mexico by Maria Muldaur. A song with a difference, form the album 'Waitress In A Donut Shop'.
  18. Silver Wheels - Bruce Cockburn.
  19. How truly evocative these latest photo's are. I especially like the first one with the class 31 on The Day Continental. The photo's really do show how things really were like. More please! All the best, Market65.
  20. Happy Heart - Andy Williams.
  21. Hello david65061, I am overwhelmed by the incredibly high standard of this J21 which you have been building. I feel that you, at the very least have managed to equal the London Road Models kit. All that I currently have is a much adulterated Nu-Cast kit. Regarding the interior cab colour, an old mate who used to work as a Fireman at Hull Dairycoates shed said, when asked about this matter, that in LNER days the cab interiors were finished in a red colour. Unfortunately, I cannot ask him now since he died several years ago. I see, whilst typing this, that Nile has said about the weathering. This is probably the way to go, for i've left mine in a near black finish. Look forward to seeing the fully completed model. All the best, Market65.
  22. Blue Water - Sally Oldfield.
