  1. Really enjoyed the show, didn’t have issues with the heat affecting the layout as I built the layout in a warm shed, only issues I had were operators learning and the odd item of new stock not being run in enough before the show. The quality of layouts was very high although I didn’t get anywhere near enough time to look around. Superb effort from the DEMU team again, thanks for the opportunity. Kind regards Bob
  2. Superb layout Cav. Didn’t get chance to have a proper look mate was babysitting my operators! Burton is a credit to you and the wife mate Cheers Bob
  3. Sandiacre being “brushed up” ready for the weekend. Looking forward to it and dreading it at the same time
  4. Simply stunning Cav excellent work as always. Cheers Bob
  5. Plenty of stock repaints, kit builds etc in progress for the layout, some completing are 2 08-16 tampers in Balfour livery, EWS 37 faded and a old project, my repainted saloon started before Bachmann released it! Get there in the end!!
  6. Sorry, it’s Atlas for definite. Cheers Bob
  7. I’ve completed another vehicle to sit on the road bridge, this is the stobart rail ballast under cutter or “gopher” loaded onto the oxford low loader. As the machine is supplied it’s in a on the track work pose, I hacked it about to load on the trailer. Scale model scenery ratchet straps were used, aswell as 1.6mm chain. All weathered in a sealed with satin varnish. Cheers Bob
  8. I agree with Mick on the grills, I used Railtec grill decals on the one I’m working on. Cheers Bob
  9. Agreed, I just thought he was on about main yellow
  10. I’m doing mine as the Harsco Network rail version, so it is going into precision network rail yellow. I’ve used the original set up as listed in the parts. Hope that helps. Bob
  11. Thanks guys Col they are make your mark models Cheers Bob
  12. More work carried out on the layout. Fitted a train tech welding module inside the shed ready for detailing in there, quite impressed with it as it’s controllable via the Dcc control aswell. Another van gets partial repaint and detailing, looks a lot better than out the box hopefully. More to come...... Thanks Bob
  13. Thanks Buddy A bit more progress has been made on the twin jib.
  14. Nice to see you getting up and about buddy. Take it easy and see you soon
  15. Some of the cranes required for the layout are in slow build. These come from Make your Mark models and are superb, I’m slowly painting the pieces on the twin jib before lots of detailing can be added. Plan is for one of the twins, and 2 single jibs.
  16. Here’s mine Paul, built minus the roof sections and weights so I can get the airbrush in. Cheers Bob
  17. Thanks Chris I used a led strip set with remote control from B&Q. The remote is used to set colour, brightness etc Hope that helps Cheers Bob
  18. Some pictures from the Gresley & Wychnor club show, sadly called off the second day due to the weather. Darren was kept busy, and once we warmed up the layout ran lovely. Thanks for the invite Peter & Andy. Cheers Bob
