I'd have a good idea about what I would do with 40 million!

  6. As a postman I can tell you this happens a lot, I've had packets to deliver and the person has moved, but failed to update their address on E-bay and or Amazon, Royal Mail has system where if it's not claimed after 18 days it goes for disposal in Belfast, every attempt is made to trace the owner, but if it remains unclaimed after a further 21 days the letter or packet is sent straight to an incinerator.
  7. Telegraph wires have a natural sag in them, and are very rarely stretched tight when put up, primarily to allow for them to shrink in cold weather.
  8. Heard at a recent exhibition I attended, Father looking at a rather impressive computer controlled DCC layout says to his son, ( about 10yrs old) "I reckon I could knock up something like this for your train set." The look on the exhibitors face was priceless!
  9. It takes the best part of four days for a newly erected shed to dry out on the inside, just thought you might want to know that.

  18. I don't think many Liverpool supporters saw the season starting like this, if ever there was proof needed they were a one man team last season, then this must be it.
  19. Those figures look great, as does the whole layout great work by both of you, I shall mention your names for the Andover Modelex next year, but I bet your diary is filling fast, could you PM me your contact details ? As for the figures I was just about to start a thread asking where I could get more "British" looking figures from, you've answered that for me as well

Roket Hot is lethal stuff. Far too runny!

  21. Perhaps I'm getting old, but I don't consider paying £50 for something that is broken as a "bargain" particularly as they don't give you a clue as to what may be broken ?
