  1. Kernow had the dcc ready versions in this morning 35-335 Bachmann Class 37/4 Diesel Locomotive 37 430 Cwmbran (kernowmodelrailcentre.com)
  2. Just preordered a green FYE with sound from Rails. Sounds great on that video
  3. The deltic i got off ebay arrived this morning. A stunning model. Nothing loose at all and runs and sounds amazing Paid £349 for it but overall happy with price paid. The chap i had mine off stioll has 3 available at time of posting Items for sale by burbage2012 | eBay
  4. Ive had lights added to 2 of my 08s. Olivias did one and roads and rails did the other. Hopefully soon Bachmann announce a new version with lights and sound. However im almost expecting Heljan to do it seeing as they are doing the 11 / 12 for model rail mag.
  5. Ive just preordered one with my local accurascale stockist. Ive ordered the DCC ready version. As the loco is 21 pin do you think the loksound decoder from one of my Bachmann 37 locos will be suitable? Its the Mount Fiji Rep edition, not sure if its a V4 or V5
  6. Thanks my layout uses 2nd radius so wanted to check before purchasing one on ebay. The person ive purcahsed from has a few sound fitted examples for 349.99 on buy it now.
  7. In the last month ive had a few preowned locos. All described as not tested and as you say all a single photo of the loco in the box. They were all also pretty cheap. 2 out of the 3 were obviously brand new never opened. One had been opened but was pristine.
  8. Hobby goblin stoke on trent has one in his cabinet. Hews away till next week tho
  9. Well i got hold of a half circle of peco 1st radius so done some testing. The results are every loco bar the class 37 passed with flying colours. Both light engine and pushing and pulling a mk1 coach. The 37s leading bogie derailed as soon as it was on the curve. Both my 37s did it. A Hornby railroad 37 was fine tho. Very suprised the 47s and 66 were fine but i think ill keep them to the outer loop and just run the smaller Bobos on the inner loop
  10. My baseboards only 38" wide - the widest i can do - so can fit a 2nd radius oval. Ive got a fair few Bachmann diesels and want to run more than one at once so im looking to put an inside first radius loop. How likley is it that they will run round 1st raduis with no issues? Locos include ( all Bachmann ) : Class 08 Class 20 - both old and new tool Class 24 - new tool Class 25 Class 37 Class 45 Class 47 - both old and new tool Class 66
  11. Has anyone got hold of one yet? Suprised no videos doing the rounds on youtube. There both on my hitlist but wanted to see how the 08s do over insulfrogs. Most of my points are the large streamline type and they have a fairly large plastic V dead spot on the frog
  12. Managed to bag a preowned DCC02 from rails of sheffield via there ebay outlet.
  13. Getting used to this powercab just about Ive got several locos and i like to switch between them. So leave one loco running with sound and lights on, then use another loco for shunting. No issue so far - but if i then reselect the first loco i find the speed is back at 0 and all the lights and sound are off and sometimes directions wrong as well. With the prodigy i had before when i went back to a previous loco it would be exactly as i left it, can i not do this with the powercab?
  14. Ive been looking for a new prodigy controller. Either the DCC01 or the DCC02. Every place ive looked online and all 3 of my local shops are out of stock. Are they now out of production?
  15. Hattons had the exact same stock reduced recently. The B12 was something like £79 and the hoppers were £14 each
  16. Dont normally buy sets but tempted by the red rover set along with a TTS chip for it
  17. I like to use Ballast Magic powder glue for pointwork. Mix it with the ballast, spread it how you want it then just spray with water to fix it down. No runny glue round the pointwork then
  18. Maybe Bachmann have a suprise for us in the next announcements. 009 was a suprise after all :)
  19. airfix or Dapol i think. Not sure if the body has been updated.
  20. It seems that Hornby have updated there vent vans to have nem pockets / couplers. Previous vans i had purchased from Hornby had the bigger D couplings so this is a welcome change. For reference the ones i purchased are : R60029 - 4 vent meat van R60028 - Single vent van R60031 - Mogo van R60027 - Twin vent van
  21. yes look for sams trains on youtube he put a new motor in one in a recent video
  22. Hopefully the TTS deltic comes soon. The TTS 08 which was announced at the same time came recentlly
  23. If anyones after a sound fitted 150 then trident trains in nantwich has 1 in central trains livery with howes sound in the preowned cabinet for £170. There was also a Regional Railways one with YouChoos sound but that came home with me
