  1. For anyone who uses anitas card glue ive juat purchased some cheap here Tacky Glue 60ml – Ohh Deer
  2. Im wondering if Dapol may do a new 14xx in 00 based on the excellent 0 Gauge one they have done.
  3. Theyve probably only reopened today.
  4. Only got the one handset. Tried a few more things today. Changing CV8 to 8 made no difference as before. I went on bachmanns website to see if i could find the list of what the CVS were set to by default. Couldnt find any but did find on zimos site that writing 0 to CV8 does a total reset. Doing this meant that the refiments Bachmann program to the decoder are lost - ie lighting not working correctly - no inertia settings. Inertia settings ere soon readded using CV3 and 4 but i couldnt sort the lights. Anyhow i after running for an hour i couldnt replicate the issue and the loco actually ran great so im confident there isnt an issue with the loco itself. I then reset CV8 to 8 again to resotre the factory settings and soon the problem was back. So im convinced its a problem with the settings on the decoder. I rang Bachmann to ask there advice and theyve just said if resetting CV8 to 8 hasnt made any difference then i should return it to the retailler for exchange. I did ask if anyone else had reported the same issue and they said yes a couple.
  5. Ive picked up a new tool 20 in blue with sound. The decoder is a zimo sound chip factory fitted. My controller is a prodigy DCC01 The problem is after a short time of use the loco stops moving. It will make all the sounds as if its moving - ie accelleration sounds and notch up sounds and braking sounds if it was stopping. All this while the loco is stood stationary. Ive checked theres no F buttons on like drive lock or anything like that. Ive also done a CV8 - 8 and its not helped at all. Sounds work, lights work but the loco just wont move. I also tried it on DC with a normal controller and same again all the lights come on engine starts brakes release and cab light goes out ten it revs up and accellerates but the loco stays put. After unplugging the controller and leaving it for a bit i went back to it fired it up and it moved this time. Did a few dozen up and down the layout ( 9ft end to end ) no issues then suddenly bang the problems back. Can anyone else suggest anything before i return it to my model shop? All my other locos are fine. The shop only has a small length of track to test and im concerned that if he only runs it up and down he will think its fine. He may need to be running it up and down for a while. Ive done a video that shows the problem. Does it sound like a duff decoder?
  6. Well after what seems like forever ive picked up my blue sound fitted example today. Really pleased with it.
  7. Still waiting on the APT and Class 08 from 2020 and the TTS Deltic and 47s from this year. Seems to have gone quiet on the deltic, 47 and 08
  8. Yes fits fine. Glazing may need altering but may depend on the bodyshell being used. I had to alter it on a green lima body but on a blue one it was fine.
  9. Was suprised by the class 73 TTS. Suprised by the Bachmann box, maybe a 3 car 108?
  10. So the set has arrived and to answer my own questions. The track is 10.5 inch radius so fits around the outside of the peco set track. The track feels like quality track and fitted together nicely. The set contained a nice litte diesel and 4 wagons. The loco isnt DCC ready but im going to run this layout on normal DC. The included controller seems decent enough, much better than hornbys train set offerings. The long track feed wire was also welcome. The loco was jerky to begin with but after a good few hours running it runs nice and smooth in both directions. Overall im really pleased with the set and recommend it to anyone looking to start in 009. With the black friday discount it was just £119. A bargain i think. So im hooked - ive got a double fairlie on the way and ill call into my local model shop for a few points and a few lengths of flexi. Station wise - 00 platforms are way to high. I knocked up a small section of metcalfe n scale platform and that looks much better but wont know for sure until i get a few coaches. PS is there a section for 009 modelling? I did look but have probably missed it
  11. 5 and 7 car sets now say Winter 2022 on website. I do hope thats not this time next year
  12. Ive ordered a red one today from TMC. They still have 10+ of all versions.
  13. So i have a space of 6ft x 2ft available. Too small for a 00 circuit and although i could do a decent n scale layout i find it a bit fiddly. So a happy medium would seem to be 009 / HOe. Ive seen a Roco starter set online and was thinking of getting it. This is the set Industrial Diesel Freight Starter Set – Rails of Sheffield Its HOe but the track looks to be the same as 009 and it looks to be 2nd radius compared to the 1st radius offered by Peco Are the roco sets any good? I dont see any mention of it but is the loco DCC Ready? Also im assuming 00 scale builings are ok to use such as platforms / station buildings?
  14. Very interesting choice. I wont be preordering tho i'll wait till there actually out.
  15. Well today i picked up 2 points and 3 lengths of bullhead flexi and the special bullhead fishplates. First impressions were the flexi is very delicate. I then tried to connect 2 bits of the flex using the fishplates. Took me ages to even get the fishplates on. There smaller than n scale fishplates. I havent even opened the points and ill return them to the shop or sell them on again as its much to flimsy.
  16. Didnt they record the J94 Austerity tank as well? The J94 is well overdue an upgrade. In the first episdoe they recorded a standard tank, cant remember if it was a standard 3 or 4 tank

I wonder if they got the wrong end of the stick and the competitior product actually was the class 91 and MK4 stock

Will they also change the DCC socket or will 8 pin support multiple light functions. I did hear about other HST but these were the prototype from Dapol but in N and did i read about one proposed in O gauge?
  19. Im probably going to pick up a few of these bullhead points. So, being unifrog are all tracks live at all times? If i want to power the frog can i just reuse my DCC80 autofrogs? Its only a small layout so ill stick to manual control of the blades Am i right in thinking that i wont need insulating joiners on crossovers and facing frogs = in the run round loop for instance? Will nomal peco code 75 fishplates work ok? Cheers
  20. Yep tried that still get a 404 : Page not found error EDIT : Managed to get them by googling the part number. This then brought up a working link. Long winded way to do it but at least it works
  21. I tried that with the o scale plans and i cant seem to enlarge them to A4 size despite having no issues with other images
  22. Dapol have done n gauge 57xx with british railways lettering on both plain font and the gwr type font. y
  23. Theres 3 shops i regularly visit. 2 of which have prices on everything, both new and used. One of them, the smaller of the 3 has prices on most things. Preowned stuff seems to be unpriced and you have to ask
  24. So to update i tried a spare imperium and it works perfectly well
