Without wanting to be that guy, I'd definitely have a bunch of these too!

YOB Plasser 12t GPC in OO Gauge from Hattons Originals
Tugs replied to Hattons Dave's topic in Hattons
I'll add my disappointment to the thread. Especially so because it wasn't marketed as a “needs to hit pre-orders to proceed” type project (I still have my pre-order for two on my account). Lets hope this is a “pause” in the project, rather than an end to it. I wonder if this type of project has fallen foul to the sheer amount of activity in the hobby at the moment? With so many other “important” releases of big-ticket items like wagons that require considerable investment, I can only imagine that a lot of people are having to forego purchasing one-off special items like cranes and other infrastructure items? -
I'll give in to the wishlisting game, but I'll try to stay true to the OP's plan for the thread... Bachmann wagons that I would snap up given the opportunity of a reissue: Polybulks JJA Autoballasters (ongoing conversations about price notwithstanding) JGA Hoppers in RMC orange JPA Cement Tanks in Castle Cement grey TTA tanks in Aviation Fuel green and petroleum sector/"unbranded" grey HHA Hoppers HTA Hoppers SSA Scrap wagons I know you can probably find some of them in ones or twos at different shops around the country, but others are the proverbial hens teeth and go for silly money on that place when (if) they do become available.

IIA Biomass Hopper, By Accurascale
Tugs replied to Accurascale Fran's topic in Accurascale / Irish Railway Models
At this point, I may as well just have my pay sent straight to Accurascale. Providing for the modern image modeller yet again! Nice! -
And another replacement body recently arrived here too. A simple enquiry about how to obtain a replacement resulted in one turning up in the post a few days later. They may make mistakes, but you can't fault the current level of post-sales service. Well done Hornby.

Cavalex Models All new RTR HAA and variants in 4mm scale
Tugs replied to Grimleygrid's topic in Cavalex
Yeah, this is smashing news! (Not for the wallet, obviously, but that was clearly built to be punished!) This is truly a golden age for us "modern image" modellers! -
Glad its not just me! Trying desperately to remain patient, but all these excellent photos are not helping!
-
Looking good chaps! Can't wait to have a rake (or two, or three...) rolling on the metals... Now to source and build some CVR(T)s and Landrovers to go on them!
-
Yeah, I'd definitley grab another batch if there was another run!
-
Figured as much. There is certainly an irony to me complaining about plastic use on my predomanently plastic purchases! Packaging aside, both the product and the service are truly truly outstanding. Makes me very excited for the additional items I have on pre-order, and all potential future Accurascale products! Accurascale have knocked it clean out of the grounds for 6 again!
-
Just to add my 2 pence worth, I am sticking with my Cavalex order too. Some new players in the field should be encouraged, so as to shake up the status quo. Railroad quality models at top-spec price points should not be a thing!
-
The end of this year is proving to be expensive! Will definitely be having a handful of the OO version! Looking forward to the Realtrack quality!

Accurascale announces at KUA in OO gauge
Tugs replied to adb968008's topic in Accurascale / Irish Railway Models
This is utterly fantastic news! Have just ordered my pair, along with 2x 37's to boot. A painful week for the wallet!!! -
Class 37, by Accurascale
Tugs replied to Accurascale Fran's topic in Accurascale / Irish Railway Models
Well, this is deadly to the wallet... Will definitely be having a couple of DRS versions, and if the as-builts end up in Large logo, Red Stripe or Triple Grey, I'll be having a fair few of them too! -
Thats another pre-order sorted, the wallet takes another beating! Loving that Accurascale (and a few other smaller manufacturers) are properly scratching my modern itch! Top work chaps.

Getting a lot of use out of Finn this month! This is brilliant news, as one of the people requesting a 4mm version, all I can say is: thank you RevolutioN!!! A great wagon to add some out-of-the-ordinary variety to the modern freight flows of containers and bogie box wagons, I really hope it does well (especially well enough that someone considers doing the WIA’s too). I don’t think my wallet it too happy about the prospect of all these amazing new releases tho!
-
This is amazing news! I will be having a good chunk of these to go with the other MoD stuff. Excellent choice Trains4U and Cavalex! ("All" we need now is the proper MoD PFA container wagons!)
-
I definitely don't want to start an argument, or really derail the topic any further. But I would just like to point out the brands such as Airfix, Revell, Tamiya, Academy, Italeri, Trumpeter, etc etc. They seem to be doing ok, so there must be at least some interest in doing painting it yourself. I know for sure that I am in a minority of people who want to paint up their own models, and I also know that I will never be able to achieve the factory-finish quality. But it doesn't stop me from wanting to do it, and trying to do it. All I'm saying is it would be cool if the manufacturers could put a small allotment of models aside as the "unpainted" option. I know it will never happen, but never hurts to dream, right?
-
I would definitely pick up a third (and possibly fourth) set if this were available as an option!
-
Oh my, here's hoping that Revolution decide to do them in OO as well - I know I'd buy a fair number if they did!
-
Some modern stuff would not go amiss! KFA warflats PFA 2 axle container flats Some of the nuclear flasks could be interesting too
-
Bachmann's warflat is only suitable for the early/steam periods - these being mostly scrapped and phased out by the late 70's. Those of us interested in the "modern image" would greatly benefit from a modern KFA-G warflat (current design code KF004B, Shildon built in the mid-to-late 70's), as our only current option is a spottily available kit. Producing a model soon(ish) to add to the recently released Hatton's warwell would actually be reasonably well timed I think. I know I would buy ~20 of them! I would also love some of the MODA build PFA's (design code PF012D, I think) as well, I'm sure you can sense a theme building here...
