  1. I hope they still go ahead because it's the Highlands variant with spotlights that I'm after not the LMR version that Bachmann are doing
  2. I got home from holiday yesterday to a bit of a surprise! My neighbour had both my 37114's at their house waiting for me. Surprise because i'd emailed and had it confirmed that my two models would be held until I got back from holiday so that they weren't stuck in a delivery van or thrown about a sorting office or sent back! Luckily they were both undamaged but going on the "we tried to deliver cards" on the carpet they had been out 3 times before being delivered to a neighbour. Love the models and one of them will hopefully eventually become 37111
  3. I don't think I can justify another DRS one (but I'll try), but I definitely want the plain and Trans Pennine one!
  4. ooh! It's getting exciting *sits and watches my mailbox* LOL (Just kidding Alex & Mike)
  5. I think people have missed that the person who saw the model is in Australia & Branchline is an Australian model shop and they seem to get the new releases before us now (They got the latest Hornby Peckett before us) So they probably haven't arrived in the UK yet, or if they have they will probably still sat in a container
  6. I've finally got home and opened one of my three parcels... I'm a diesel man and generally not bothered about steam although I appreciate it. And as soon as I saw the Stirling Single announcement I knew I wanted one. And it's probably one of the best decisions I've ever made as far as models go. The model is just superb! Now just got to wait for instructions for what to do with the other two models sitting in front of me!
  7. How about this one... I mentioned earlier about three being delivered but the driver only taking one back because the other two had our surname on them... I've just had a phone call from my elderly mum who was very flustered because the APC driver has just been back and told her his office told him that he HAD to go back and deliver it because it was the right address! So she ended up signing for it! So much for being told to refuse to accept the extra ones when APC are telling drivers they must deliver them! I feel sorry for Stuart at Locomotion coming back into all this tomorrow
  8. After reading a couple of posts about only accepting one parcel I rang home and told my elderly mum who was waiting for the delivery for me, to only accept the one parcel with my name on... They duly tried to deliver three but she had to accept 2 because they were both just addressed to "Webster" with no first name but both had the reference "John". So I wonder if there is another John Webster waiting for his? The other one was for a Charles Anthony but that one was refused I've got to wait until I get home this evening to see if I can identify the other one and contact Stewart about it when he's back
  9. I just checked the APC tracking and apparently I am delivery 32, 33 and 34 this morning so it looks like I'm definitely getting 3 delivered!
  10. Nice try haha I've already been in touch with Stuart about them
  11. I got 3 separate emails with 3 separate consignment numbers telling me that mine would be delivered on the 30th... I wonder if i'll get three models turn up? (I only ordered and paid for one!) lol
  12. Excellent news, I have 2 on order and was worried i'd have to cancel one of them due to other stuff also being due, but ive just received a pay rise and annual bonus, so that means that i'm safe and can keep my order of two locos looking forward to finding out what the next model is but i'll not join in any froth lol
  13. Mine arrived early this morning and I think it's great and my disabled 86 year old dad loves it. Thanks to Rails and Rapido for producing this model. It's the most I've ever spent on a single OO gauge coach and I will probably never do so again but I'm very happy with mine. If I had one criticism (and it's a very minor one) that would be, for an expensive special edition model, the outer box feels like a flimsy budget range affair and I was hoping for something more sturdy. Saying that though, who looks at the box when the contents are far more interesting Do I have a use for the coach? Nope, I model BR Blue from the late 70's to mid 80's, do I regret paying so much for a single coach? Not one bit. It's a fantastic little model. Again thank to Rails and Rapido.
  14. I read it the way I think you did initially, but I re-read the mag a little later and realised that they were just guessing too
  15. The full correct statement reads "Judging from the images, Oxford is currently set to persist with its own colours rather than colour match to Bachmann's Class 47/7 and upcoming Mk.2f DBSO" Since the image they show is the one shown on here, they are just saying they are surmising like us. They haven't confirmed that they are persisting with their own colours, just that they also think that it looks that way judging from the one picture
  16. Put both photos in photoshop, line them up over the top of each other, They are the exact same photo that Oxford have adjusted the colours/saturation (poorly)
  17. Still discounted maybe, but not fair to descriminate against BR Blue period modellers. It looks very odd that they are all the same price except the one version, and there is no mention of model being weathered on any of the sites i've seen it listed on, so it can't be that.
  18. Good to know they are starting to go out! I was late ordering mine (after I had received the two black ones) So i know have a fair bit of a wait until they get to mine, but it's good to know they are here and i'm looking forward to receiving it to join 10201 & 10202
  19. As I mentioned in the other Heljan class 35 thread, I still don't understand why Hattons have them all listed at £104 except the standard BR blue one that is £112! It makes no sense for the blue one alone to cost more than the other ones with more complex liveries
  20. A few people I know have noticed an odd thing... why are all the new Hymeks the same price except the BR blue one which is more expensive? Surely it's the most simple to produce with less colours?
  21. I really hope that they are just poor photos!!! I'm glad I cancelled my pre-orders to wait to see them in the flesh, because if they turned up looking like the photos they'd be going straight back!
  22. No frothing required from me, no BR blue and no Intercity in the correct colours to rectify their first batch, so personally I'm not interested.
  23. It was good to finally meet Dave and Mick yesterday. I've not visited Crewe since 1988, so seeing all the pendolinos, voyagers and other units was a big change from how I remember it! It was fantastic to be able to roam around the APT-P and get photos (the last one I saw and took photos of was at booths scrap yard in Rotherham). It's still a very modern looking train. The buffet car was just as narrow as I remembered it from a Euston to Glasgow run I was lucky to do It was interesting to see the scanning in progress too, I was hoping to see the drone scanning the roof but I had to leave before they got to that bit. Pity the weather was so damp but it was still a very interesting day. Thanks to everyone involved for making this possible.
  24. Mine arrived by DPD this morning at 10am, stunning little wagons! Very pleased with them indeed
