There is lots of footage of it running with wagons in the launch video
Hi @McC and @Accurascale Fran I'm pleased that accurascale have taken over the tooling for the 66 from hattons. Its strange that even though its the tooling for the hattons 66 it looks like a different loco all together as it looks more refined. The changes you have made are perfect to make this the ultimate 66 it was going to be from the start. I'm glad to hear that the euro 66s will be with us at some point abd I'd definitely be in the market for 66748 in grey to use with the accurascale biomass Wagons and the other euro variants we have running around. A question about 66004 if you don't mind. Will the model have the newer style LED lights like shoey has shown in the photo a few posts up. The reason i ask is that the tail and marker lights LED looks to be about the same size as the day and night headlights on either side but the artwork shows the markers to be smaller then the headlights. And will we also be able to have all 4 lights on at once now as seen on the real locos that have had the lighting upgrade?
Thanks once again for giving the 66 a new home. Looking forward to seeing what other liveries you anncounce in the future.
Regards Gary

My daughters upset. She can’t spot your postcards on the desk, she wants to sort them out again.
(ps she still hasnt forgotten how you tricked her giving her two identical 2020’s class 89 postcards and to spot the difference, especially when she found the real difference on the 1990’s class 89 postcard !!!)
:-)
Is this the new announcement…
It looks gbrf orangey…
I think that's all IRM products. They look like the mk2b's. That with the green boxes.

Just taken delivery of 92010. Hats off to accurascale for a very impressive model and surley a contender for model of the year next year.
Roll on the class 37s and class 50s (when the gbrf ones get announced anyway)
Have a great Christmas accurascale team.

Any idea if these are for sale yet? Just got 92010 delivered and its looking a little sad having a whacking great speaker with nothing to drive it
https://www.dckits-devideos.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=1853&search=Class+92 seems to be on the website. But you'll have to get a accurathrash speaker. As its only got the smaller speaker as standard.

None of our factories work nights, and yes air freight.Ahh ok no worries was just going off what was said in the class 37 update back in October. That's good to know thank you.

That's a great achievement In shaving a couple of months off the schedule. Is this due to the night shifts that you requested the factory to work? I'm sure it's not an issue with all the work you guys have been doing but with night shifts quality of work can drop a bit, were extra checks put in place incase that was an issue at all? And are they also being shipped by air again?

When are manufacturers going to understand that a flywheel does nothing when it is so small as to be able to fit in such a tiny locomotive? It's all very well fitting a speaker at the factory but what would truly benefit a tiny 0-4-0 is a Stay Alive. If they would fit one of those instead of a useless lump of turned brass then it would be much better for sound and non-sound users.
This is a model that I would like to have but the problem with all of these things now is that you need to "pre-order" and stump up the cash without being able to see the thing for real, or to have seen anyone else pull one apart. There's no way of telling if there is space for a SA to be fitted until you open one up.You can normally pre order from hattons without the need to pay a deposit or the whole amount. But as the price hasn't been confirmed yet it can't be pre ordered at the moment.

Hi @gary_lner,
Yes indeed, Warley is not far off. I think we will have one small announcement this year.
Cheers!
Fran
Hi Fran sounds good to me. Small as in class 377 to start of an accurascale electrifying Britain range 😀

Bearing in mind that Revolution and Dapol are doing a 59 in N, I think there's scope for a 'battle' in OO...
It's a battle I don't think Revolutions would be interested in looking at topics on their page. Plus at £136 for Dcc ready could they beat that price.

Just to clarify, I take it speakers will need to be purchased too, and hopefully they are easy to fit.
I believe a sugar cube speaker comes as standard but the acurathrash speaker needs to be purchased separately and a dcc sound decoder.

Ah, but the other ones are doing that, allegedly, since 2017, so 2 more years to go.
Other ones?

Does anyone do the revised WIPAC lights to fit a Bachmann Class 66? I want to model a DB Cargo version which has been repainted in corporate red and had the newer WIPAC light package (two lights) fitted. Any suggestions would be welcome.
I've seen people fit the illuminated models lighting pcbs to Bachmann 66 and just wiring up the lights so the headlights/markers come on at the same time whilst still keeping tail lights etc. It's what I'll be doing to mine in time. Few videos on YouTube about it. Best one is Torridon Road by Peter Dixon. All you gotta do after that is paint over the fake marker lights.

Well I can only hope they have listened as constructive information provided in good faith wasn't all that politely received,I am intrigued by you comment about "switchable tail lights" as neither the Leader or 4DD had such.
The Leader only had individually switchable white lamp positions for the SR Engine Headsignals.Hi Graham That's definitely my mistake then as I was talking to Michael about the lack of a switch on the GT3 and fell and if future models will have that ability. But if the 4DD and leader dont have them rhen nothing to worry about.
What would the leader have if running light engine?

Unfortunately looks like the same EP as first shown at Ally Pally...Yeah it is the very same one. I did have a chat with Michael about the leader and the 4dd about certain things and he said that they've taken on board what they've heard and things like windows etc are all being changed the 4dd is being re done to get the roof shape correct etc. Hoping to have a sample at Warley for the leader. I've adjed about switchable tail lights etc so hopefully they can be added. It's a very weighty model aswell as Micheal let me hold it. Roll on Warley

Considering we’ve had the Wainwright D class and the maunsell D1. Gives me hope that we will one day get the E and E1 class. But am outside chance would be the O1 to go with all the SECR wagons being released.
Big James
Rapido are doing an E1 class. It's taken time to get going but it's on the move.

are we sure this is a production model photographed? would be good to have that confirmed first before judgement on the final model is passed. Dapol have given several odd pre production offerings drip fed to us with unusual arrangements in the past.. (wrong colour on NP livery etc)
Thats what I've been thinking. The showed off some samples at ally pally and they wernt production samples. Just decorated samples. So fingeres crossed its just one of them and the production models are ok.

Mine arrived tiday aswell. Hornby have done a great job with the box design etc. l noticed aswell that it's had a 21 pin decoder socket upgrade. Just need to find a suitable sound file and speaker for it. 👍

Hi Gary,
Day, night and depot working are all selectable modes via DCC on our 37/6s, just like our forthcoming 92s. The loco featured in the video is a test mule as we were working to perfect our headlight at the time (ensuring no light bleed)
Cheers!
Fran
Hi Fran thanks for getting back to me. I thought that might be the case with the loco so thanks for confirming that.
Will any of them be on show at the great electric train show this year or running on any layouts like the mk5s and class 92 last year?
