It didn't feel or look like a 3d print when I picked it up as you could see the sections from each part of the tooling that we saw pictures off. It's not unommon for test prints of moulds to be on display before a full EP Rails did the same with their terrier not long after that was announced. Maybe these parts will be used on the EP in a few weeks time.

I asked about potential issues with models etc. And was told that there will be a number of extra models produced to cover such problems and would be dealt with in the UK.

Yeah two body shells on display today. The detail was pretty good for a first sample. I believe the order book is closing soon but I can't remember when. For the drive mechanism both versions are going to be tested fully to see how they cope before a decision is made. They are hoping to have a fully working EP by warley.

Very interesting pictures it's starting to take shape now. Thank you for sharing them here Keith. Can't wait to see what you bring with you to the great electric train show in October for this project and the soon to be announced project. Regards Gary

Morning all. Unless it's been edited since the original post. There doesn't seem to be any mention of the great central railway. But instead it's the Great Electric Train Show on those dates which would be correct. I know from emails with Keith that show was always on his plans aswell as warley. Gary -

Hi Fran that looks absolutely fantastic, can't wait to see the rest of the coaches. A couple of questions please if I may. With the current trend of current models will the mk5 dvt have different lighting settings? And will you guys be attending the great electric train show in October? Regards Gary -
Thanks for that useful information. I also have the southern rail 73 and wasn't keen on the cab light coming on with the directional lighting. So its good to know it can be turned off. When i get round to fitting a dcc chip I'll be sure to do the same. Many thanks Gary

When I was at the great central railway event I asked one of the guys at Dapol about the 73s and he did say they were on a their way as we speak. So hopefully they'll soon be in the shops.

That was a quick turn around. Did Keith mention if the space where the extra gears were going to go is going to be filled in now for added weight? Anything mentioned about the nem pocket and speaker location? Regards Gary
-
I asked Keith about the location of such items a few weeks ago as I'm on the fence about dcc sound. And the plan was for the dcc socket to be installed in the tender and speakers to be fitted in the area behind the fan. So hopefully that's all in hand in the design. Regards Gary.

The H class may already be here and being packed as we speak. I've just been charged for the remaining cost. Happy days Gary

Got my copy of the Hornby magazine through the post today and sure enough there was a nice article about loftus road in all its 20ft by 12ft glory. And it's even got a track plan with some cracking shots of the layout. Worth getting the magazine for the article alone. Well done to all at Worthing model railway club. Will Look forward to hopefully seeing it in September again. Regards Gary

Hi guys apologies if this has been covered already but is there a deadline for pre ordering any of the recently announced models? Regards Gary -
Here's a video that should help. A guy on youtube that I follow has put the hst rake with the 57. https://youtu.be/LOFLSMD_0Xk.

Seems the class 66 was a favourite in the realtrack thread. So I think hattons will be onto a winner. And as my liking in modern traction is growing since I started on the railway I'm sure I'll be getting a couple to go along with rhtt that I must pre order when I think about it. But my question is will the 3 lighting configurations does that mean the 66 will have different light settings for day and night and possibley marker lights for those that have depots or virtual quarries? Great choice of loco to the team at hattons. If the 66 is anything like the p class I have it's going to be a great.

I'd say problem will be looked Into for the forth coming releases this year for the coach pack. Hornby would be mad not to adjust the clearance so all the coaches are fine and not just a majority. I guess it's just buying this pack now is cheaper then buying the coaches and driving trailers separate when they come out. Is there going to be any difference in the driving trailers and coaches other then the numbers and names on each?
-
There's 3 people on YouTube who own the set and have had no issues at all with it. Mines just come back from Hornby turned around within a week and no clearance problems with the boggies now. Just need a layout to do more testing on now.
-
I did ask about the finish when the pack was announced. But are the coaches in a gloss finish like the hst mk3s? Many thanks Gary
-
Looking good Mike are going to do any vids on the layout in full swing with the tracks you have. Is that the size the layout will always be when you take it to shows? If so would u ever consider making it a u shape layout for more scenery? Looking forward to seeing oak road at some point this year. Gary
