  1. Good afternoon everyone. Accurascale are currently on YouTube with Jennifer kirk who is doing a virtual exhibition interviewing different companies go and running trains. Just to fill the gap left by ally pally. Here's the link Regards Gary
  2. Sounds like a bit of a minefield. Amy chance the ep body shells that were on show at the great electric train show can be sprayed up in some different shades and see how they look? I for one would be happy with the shade that John created on his fine looking gt3. Are you attending Ally Pally this year? Regards Gary
  3. I seem to rember hearing the first batches of the class 73 that Dapol did had issues with the main circuit board and lighting aswell and also pickups. And for the batch that came out not long ago a new board was created and all those issues fixed. I have every faith hattons will get it spot on for the large light 66s on future batches.
  4. No the issue with this particular hattons 66 batch is that you can't have the lighting arrangement shown in this picture or just have the marker lights on as if you were in a depot without modifications as Pte1402 has done. In his earlier post the 66 from the factory only one of the marker lights works when in day or night mode opposite the main headlight. Not the setup show in the picture above.
  5. I went for the limited edition version.
  6. Just had an email to say my Rocket is on its way. Happy days
  7. I did see a link a few pages back for the decoder. But not sure if that includes a speaker and then it would be a case of fitting it myself or paying for it to be fitted so I took the easy option. Agreed lesson learned there didn't realise sound would be so popular. Well done to hattons in that sense as it's looking like a great seller in the Dcc world anyway.
  8. No unfortunately not. By doing the upgrade as Dave suggested it's £130 for the decoder and speaker and £12 for the fitting of the decoder and speaker.
  9. I've just done the same thing as I missed the boat on the large logo 66. I just pre ordered a dcc ready 66 and have the orfer number to the online Chat who have just updated my pre order list to show the decoder and fitting service charge aswell. Seems alot of the sound fitted 66s have sold out so this is the easiest option to go down. Regards Gary
  10. No worries I should have put the whole piece of text in about the hattons dcc decoder. On the intructions it says that factory fitted dcc models will be fitted with the Hattons DCR-21Pin-DirectV2 decoder. And i think the gamble was probably what do people want more on in terms of lighting functions. I think the day and night mode and reds at both ends is a clear winner as the cab lights would only be on every now and then. And as Pete has just said I'm sure another advance in Dcc decoders will happen soon enough and more functions without sound will be available. And the hattons decoder can be upgraded. Maybe it's something hattons them selves could look into.
  11. From the video on YouTube apparently the ESU Loksound version 5 has 10 functions. The 4 function chip can do the following going by the instructions 4 function digital control functions:Function 0/Light button - Headlights (Day/Night) & Marker lightsFunction 1 - Tail lights frontFunction 2 - Tail lights rear And the 6 function digital control functions: Function 0/Light button - Marker lights Function 1 - Tail lights front Function 2 - Tail lights rear Function 3 - Headlights front Function 4 - Headlights rear. I just noticed aswell they say the model will work best with a Hattons DCR-21Pin-DirectV2 decoder. All factory fitted Digital models are equipped with this decoder. And after digging around the website this is a 6 function dcc decoder. So if you want working cab lights it looks like the only way to get them is to get a sound fitted class 66. Hope that information helps
  12. No problem at all. It seems from the video and instructions for dcc sound they use a ESU Loksound 5 21 pin chip. Withh cab lighting being on f19. But it doesn't say what they will use on the dcc fitted versions maybe a 6 function 21 pin hattons chip but that won't do the can lighting either.
  13. Have you seen the YouTube video that hattons did with legomanbiffo and Mick from new bryford? Lots of info about about dcc decoders on there and in the instructions on the website it says that with cablights they will not work with a 4 and 6 function decoder. But will with the sound decoder as that has more functions.
  14. Indeed the webchat people I spoke with again today say they havnt been recently updated but we're still expecting them by the end of the month/ beginning of next month. And i did say could Dave or someone update the rmweb page and website to keep people happy and theyvsaudcthey would pass that on to Dave. So fingers crossed they'll be an update soon. And there is also the platform 1 YouTube session tomorrow for the same questions to be asked about the 66.
  15. Afternoon everyone. I used the hattons online chat feature today to ask about the sound fitted 66s and was told they are due to arrive any time now but havnt been given a specific date. They did offer to check specific codes for me but I didn't have one to hand so I'll ask again tomorrow for the 66 I'm after and that's the 66 large logo livery that was due in the first batch. so I'll see what they say tomorrow and feedback.
  16. Good evening Phil. Thanks for the cracking pic of the Gt3 the other day that you posted. Did you guys get a chance to see the Gt3 on the rolling road and sound samples for the interview? Looking forward to getting my GT3 next year. Regards Gary
  17. Very nice. Looks a little bit like the connection on the stirling single. Does it feel like a strong connection when it's joined up? Apologies for all the questions.
  18. Are there any plans for a bundle pack with 2 class 37s? I'm.sure that would go down a treat. The wagons look great. Regards Gary
  19. It's quite possible the ones on show today arnt the final production samples. In the photos that Dave posted on the previous page of final production samples they look to be in line.
  20. Fantastic. How did it sound? Did legomanbiffo so what kind of sounds you can expect etc.
  21. Thanks for the up close pictures and the information. Gutted I couldn't be at warley this weekend to see it in person. But the progress since I saw it in October is great. Is the sound project being done by legomanbiffo? If so I may regret not going for the sound version. Glad to see the feedback on what needs to be improved and the info around the mechanism. It's shaping up to be a great GT3. Many thanks Gary
  22. Accurascale have struck gold once again. Can't wait to see what the annoucment is for warley (praying for a 377) I won't be able to make it this year to see the 3d print of the 37 but it's looking good already. That europhenix livery looks great. A quick question about the lighting features if I may? Will the loco be able to be setup to have just the marker lights working to say simulate depot working? And also the ability to have reds tail lights at both ends like the new 66 from hattons. Either way I'm sure I'll be ordering 37608 in the near future. Great work guys. Regards Gary
  23. For those interested in the 66 model in the flesh. Hattons have put a video up on YouTube that's 40 minutes long talking about the features and lighting functions of the model and going through the sounds functions etc with Ian bishop.
  24. There's a closeup picture of the EP on brms Instagram page.
