  1. It's such a lovely looking loco that I'm sure it will be a hit! Well done. Regards, Deano.
  2. Ken, you have this knack of making a challenging kit look so effortless!! Enjoying your progress. Regards, Deano.
  3. Hi Chris Superb looking locos, but my only criticism is the coal looks too even and plastic! Regards, Deano.
  4. Always a pleasure to see pictures, from whatever angle/ location. Dock Green is an inspiration to myself and I'm sure many others too. Really hope to see it in the flesh sooner rather than later. (Peterborough potentially, work permitting?!) Regards, Deano.
  5. .....and very efficient your website and ordering is, David!! Just one happy customer! Regards, Deano.
  6. Looking good Simon, but my personal opinion is they still need to be darker, more like the ones in bgmans picture above. Of course it's your choice! Regards, Deano.
  7. Looks very good, Simon, but I'm inclined to agree with Miss Prism that the general colour should err towards the darker shades and more uniform. Obviously some variety in shade to break up the monotony! Regards, Deano.
  8. Sincere condolences to you and your family!! Regards, Deano.
  9. At the end of the day, George, the name is not so relevant, it's the finished product and your personal satisfaction that counts. Regards, Deano.
  10. Where's the 'WOW' button!! Nice work Simon. Regards, Deano.
  11. Very nice indeed, Simon! I'm enjoying the progress on the engine shed and offices! Regards, Deano.
  12. For all my Radio model planes (and DIY) I use the lightweight ready mixed filler from polycell or other manufacturers. It bonds well with balsa and sands easily. Regards, Deano.
  13. What a fantastic finish to a fantastic build!! Regards, Deano.
  14. Bl00dy hell, Ken!! You don't hang about!!! As always, looking forward to following yet another build. Regards, Deano.
  15. I look forward to seeing the results of your 'magic touch'!! Regards, Deano.
  16. I certainly will, thanks Richard. Peter, apologies for the hijack!! Back to topic. Regards, Deano.
  17. From what I can remember, the 7mm doesn't have them either, but they're available. Regards, Deano.
  18. Hi Simon I bet it was!! All my pointwork/ crossovers are planned as built to OMF B7 or greater so I hope it won't be a problem, but thanks for the heads-up! I bought the kit on Ebay and I think there's inside motion parts. Whether I'll attempt to make it work is another thing?! Maybe!! Regards, Deano.
  19. Thanks for posting those, Peter, very impressive indeed!! I'm surprised about the MOK instructions though, when the kit is of such high quality?! I've looked at the Finney7 instructions as I'm also interested in the M7 and a T9 for my proposed LSWR region layout; they are very impressive! So pleased that Richard and the guys have managed to keep the Finney brand going, as I have an old 47xx kit from that stable, and by the time I get round to it the instructions may have been updated?? If you're going to post more on WT then maybe I should sign up, but I spend too much time on here already for SWMBO!! Keep up the good work! Regards, Deano.
  20. Hi Peter Thanks for the info. (mswjr pointed me towards WT too) That 4MT is one fantastic looking model, which one day I'd like to have a go at myself. I also look forward to seeing the A4 and the 4MT when painted. Regards, Deano.
  21. Hi Peter What happened to the MOK 4MT tank build that I was looking forward to, as I'm thinking of getting one later?? Regards, Deano.
  22. Hi George/ David Many thanks for the info. I've heard of the lighter fluid for thinning especially for lining, but never considered mixing celly thinners with enamel. I'll have to give it a go when I get my new workshop/ sprayshop built! David, that wagon(s) looks amazing!! Regards, Deano.
  23. Hi George/ David Is it a secret recipe or can it be revealed? Wagon looks good, George! Regards, Deano.
  24. This site certainly is a good way to keep up with what people are doing and very intuitional! The extent of knowledge, skill and innovation is endless. Unfortunately I am still renovating my house and have very little spare time for modelling the moment. I also started a new job last November which involved a couple of months of training, but I'm now based in the UK and no longer spending 3 weeks at a time in Saudi Arabia, and I can request days off to suit me. I had planned on going to Telford this year but I've been off work for a while due to a health issue and I have to return on 1st Sept!! Grrrrr!! Only 6 1/2 years till retirement though, but I may still be involved with ad hoc training. Telford next year, no doubt!! Enough waffle, so back to thread! Regards, Deano.
