  1. I, For one, never was keen on the tight bend into the MOD siding, but I do know they existed. I do like the new plan though! Regards, Deano.
  2. Good to see you back, Ken. Gently, gently though!! Best regards, Deano.
  3. Speedy recovery, Ken. All the very best. Deano.
  4. Thanks Simon They do look very useful. I'll keep looking and will let you know. (There's no hurry for me but just another tool in the armament!!) Regards, Dean.
  5. Hi Simon Enjoying your progress with the wagons (and excellent weathering BTW!) Those clamps look very handy; do you recall the supplier? Regards, Deano.
  6. Hi Andy In my opinion, this is the finest layout of all of yours. Don't get me wrong, they are all excellent but Trebudoc takes first place!! Keep 'em coming! Regards, Deano.
  7. Nice pair!! ...as they say!! Regards, Deano.
  8. Looks good and the bonus of the new plan is you can work from both sides. Regards, Deano.
  9. Edit: Sorry, I just noted you've drawn a line on this but I've just picked up on your amazing project and just want to add my thoughts. Bl00dy hell!! I cannot believe there are fellow modellers out there with this attitude!! We all come from different backgrounds but share the same hobby. Some of us may be fortunate to have funds whereas others are modelling on a shoe string, but at the end of the day we do it for the pleasure it brings, as with any hobby! I'm sure Simon has worked hard all his life and is now achieving a lifetime ambition so how dare anyone deny him that. I've only just discovered this thread and am envious as hell but highly respect the work and skill involved to achieve his goal. Keep up the outstanding work and I hope I can see this layout in the flesh one day. Regards, Deano.
  10. The ploughs look the part, George. Great work! Regards, Deano.
  11. Congratulations, Sam, on your article in the GOG Gazette. Very inspirational for scratch building! Well done. Regards, Deano.
  12. Hey Andy, what about the kettle!! (and the beer fridge?!) Regards, Deano.
  13. In my opinion you can never have enough!! I have no clue on the current regulations, (pun not intentional!) but obviously limited by the supply cable. It's unlikely they would all be in use at the same time with high loads. Regards, Deano.
  14. Hi Barnaby I also have the Ring device with no problems at all. I even spoke to a delivery guy from Hong Kong without any lag in the system! (Virg!n media) Sorry you have had problems with your set up but I guess it's not suited to every internet installation?! Regards, Deano.
  15. A picture or two of the chairs and cross section of the rail would be most helpful in answering your query, johnny. Regards, Deano.
  16. I thought I recognised the shovel on 7444!! Lovely work, Steve! Regards, Deano.
  17. Looks the part, Howard, as do the other buildings. If I hadn't known differently I'd have thought they were low relief buildings! Cartridges!! Urghhh!! I also bought some Tesco HP refilled ones. Big mistake!! Genuine ones next time!! Regards, Deano.
  18. I look forward to seeing this develop! Regards, Deano.
  19. Hi Sagaguy I built one a few years ago. I had to file the hole in the frames at an angle to get the forward ones to fit, then soldered from behind. IIRC the other two had to be trimmed to fit in the top of the rear sand boxes. I'm not at home at the moment but I'll check next week. Regards, Deano.
  20. Really nice looking finish, Peter. Varnished?? Regards, Deano.
  21. Well done Steve!! (...and an excellent picture) Regards, Deano.
  22. Couldn't agree more!! That is one amazing work of art! (I do like to see good plumbing!) Regards, Deano.
  23. Fantastic weathering, Chris! I think you and Jinty are in competition?! Keep up the excellent work. Regards, Deano.
