  1. As David has already said ,thats a lovely photograph of 60031 at York. If you took photo's of this quality ,how come no books by I.Harper. Regards,Del.
  2. Mike J said:- Its not really being pedantic Ian,hes just got used to not been slapped down all the time whilst S.W.M.B.O. has been away with the girls.Once She's being back a few days he will revert to his subdued self. Excellent job Ian,but then unlike some folk we both know, I appreciate skillful modelling. Regards,Del.
  3. Surely its a question of supply and demand. As lomg as the retailers honour any pre-order prices that they accepted orders on,I don't blame them for this price rise.At the end of the day their all in this game to make a profit,no profit no suppliers. One of the Estate Agents in my town put through flyers asking if we were interested in selling. I rang them and they said from seeing the house from outside it was worth £249.995. I said how can you say that and he said the Stamp Duty threshold is £250,000 so anything above that would put people off as the Stamp Duty then became 3%. Good Bye. 3 days later card through door with hand written message to ring. Worth a phone call,Ah! well got someone who really wants it,will list at £275,000 and you agree to pay the Stamp Duty of £8250 and still end up getting £266,745 for your house instead of £249,995. As it happens I have no wish to sell, but if I did would anybody criticise me for doing so.I think not so whats different with these two retailers. Regards.
  4. Absolutely Top Notch!! Well done 60014. Regards,Del.
  5. Super Job Ian,you will go far. Regards,Del.
  6. Also shows that Hornby do not hand pick the Loco's Model Rail gets.
  7. Dave, two cracking looking Locomotives. Regards.
  8. DER!! aother senior moment Garry, you did say about the photo's.Just realised why my folk christened me DER!!ek.
  9. Dave, whilst your point seems to redeem Backy,if you put a straight edge along the Tender Bottom and Cab Bottom on the Photograph of 60537 it is dead straight but on 60528 it shows that the cab deviates. Could just be that Garry is unlucky? Kind Regards,Derek.
  10. Hi Garry,I would have to agree with you, dare I say that the pony truck looks as though the wheels are too small a diameter. Thats not possible of course, but it seems the most likely explanation other than the possibility that we both have wonky eyes!!!. Mind you 60537 Bathchelor's Button really looks the "Dogs" and I am as Sick as a Parrot having gone over to 7mm last year. 11 out of 10 to Mr Bachmann for that one. Lets face it you 4mm lot are not just Spoilt your Ruined and if you really think thats jealousy then Rugby,Cricket and Footbal to you's. Kindest Regards in Jest,Lincolnshire.
  11. Likewise Mike I must admit to knowing Ian of Peasholm models, but I have no connection with the business, just my own personal experience of him as a person of great Honesty & Integrity. Kind of one of "The Old School" I am very pleased to say. Has a super DCC Layout called "Haymarket Cross" which I believe is appearing at Hull MRS Exibition in just over a weeks time.
  12. As well as an updated B1 for easy DCC Conversions.
  13. As was 60539 Bronzino often seen at Grantham and frequently in published photographs on Grantham Loco.
  14. Tom, I like your style even more, this gets better by the moment,I choose, I order & THEY PAY!!!. Seriously though thank you very much for the other comment. Regards.
  15. More likely to have been going down to or returning from Donny,as happened when they were Shopped. Thats a novel idea --- Tom's Xmas present to Tom,I like your thinking mate. How's about a Loveless A4 as 60025 Falcon. Well dear Wife it was an idea I got from Tom Tank. I think not,its alright for you mate with just the Border Collie, but as well as "Harvey" my Border Collie I have dare I say another Old Dog to consider!!! She does not read RM Web,but this is where I find out not so much who my friends are but, possibly (probably) that I aint got any. Saw 60536 Trimbush at Grantham once on what I presume was a Running In turn.
  16. Gordon, you seem to turn your hand to so many things its really quite remarkable. The layout is coming on a treat and you should feel very proud of yourself. One shame is that it will not be capable of being exibited at an exibition, unless of course its the Ideal Home Exibition where they build a house in a few days so moving your layout up the M4 and then building a Replica of your house should not be to hard for them to contemplate!! Seriously super modelling from a super Gent.Kindest Regards,Derek.
  17. Just had an e-mail from Hattons to say Batchelors Button in BR Green is in stock ,but as yet not on their web site and just for Tom Tank its in 4mm "oo" Gauge after all LOL.
  18. Belgian said I would not have thought that was the problem, surely the 21 pin decoders are required more in Diesels with the lighting applications etc, Regards.
  19. Tom, I keep telling you it's now planned as 7mm, For the Senior Market.Who are very patient and don't keep nagging Barwell. Regards.
  20. I endorse that comment as well Garry and at the end of the day thats all that really matters to me and I am sure you. I will certainly be putting my money where my mouth is and buying a couple (Ballymoss & St Paddy) in BR Green. I am more than happy with my 37 & 47's.Really good value for money. Well Done Heljan.
  21. 60854 I do believe and soon removed after a Senior Member of Staff saw it. Regards.
  22. Bernard, good to see your glass is Half Full instead of Half Empty. Regards.
  23. Is the A2 not now being released in 7mm Scale instead of 4mm as the start of the new Bachmann "O"Gauge range of products called "Gold" and due for release on the 31st March 2011. Regards.
  24. Hello Richard, thats very helpful, and as I said before very kind of you. Thank You very much. Regards,Derek.
  25. Hello Tony, many thanks for your help on this subject,I endorse your comments about the Gentlemen Jim (Cue for a song for us oldies - Jim Reeves) who is just the same sociable guy at exibitions. Regards,Derek.
