  1. Mk 3 from 7/83 not 2e. Interior was not modified as a " lounge" until the current refurbishment from 2 years back. Seating and counter was as a normal buffet. Some interior shots on Flickr in this form but date from Dynamic Lines period. Classified as RFMB , restaurant first modular buffet.
  2. Just as a query , when did the Christmas wagon stop being a limited run and first appeared in the annual catalogue?
  3. Having all the currently published Pullman Profile books , there are several options out there worth producing. Including of course CIWL Blue !
  4. Just going to throw this one out there for the tech heads..... For a Western Region dare I say " upgrade " to electrical transmission ... , A class 35 Hymek but with Sulzer class 33 engine , dual heat and dual brake.... ? A class 34 ? Perhaps later refurbished into a 34/4 air/eth only.... ?_
  5. To compliment the thread on the Night Ferry stock , I have often wondered why Hornby only ever do the "brown/cream" livery on the range of super- detail Pullmans ? Many , if not all , are suitable for other liveries carried including Pullman Maroon , " Brown/Cream" cream above windows , BR Maroon , BR Green , BR Grey/Blue , BR Corperate Blue/Grey , even camping ! I'm sure there would be takers. A good opportunity to recoupe production costs and another gap in the market filled along with the opportunity for people to run even more trains prototypically .
  6. Set formations are often listed on the255/257 hst Facebook group and also in the gwr Castle thread on Railforumuk.
  7. Bronn Wenili is Cornish for Hill of Swallows hence English adaption.
  8. Correct ! 2004 not 94 ! Year before first (concession) Christmas wagon. Still have my set with instructions stamped Nov.
  9. First Christmas set. Nov 94. Think it was catalouged for 95 . I'm sure the Rocket set was in the 82 catalouge....
  10. Regarding 101, since introduction in 1978, NOT including different catalouge numbers, running numbers and paint finishes, there have been 38 livery variations released for the public with a further 1 (Downton Abbey) as a one off. Just for fun around 8 years back I collected the lot. Sold them soon afterwards but may do it again one day !
  11. Best of both colours ! Note: only one window in corridor.
  12. Maybe take a photo of drawing then post on here ? Points to Long Rock ??
  13. Just to add , re Long Rock , we have 3 roads and it takes 2 people full time all week to keep it that clean...!!
  14. Regarding paint on depot floor , here is the current scene at Long Rock.
  15. BR MN General Steam Navigation showing as sold out on Hornby site.
  16. Beat me to it in posting about doing a diesel. I was thinking a Hymek but decided not to post in case i got my head bitten off from ye olde firm !!
  17. First time the 58 appeared in the Hornby catalogue it was blue standard !
