  2. So i am not the only one who missed the Midland 0-4-4T then ?
  3. And its arrived.......!!! The 2018 Hornby Christmas Wagon. Let the festivities commence !
  4. When I first found out that the subject would be about the "trains" rather than the "individual cars" like the previous books I was in two minds. So how much is actually repeated ? Are there any "car" histories not in the previous books ? My order is around £20 so not worried about pricing.
  5. There is currently no freight west of Truro. NR will use a Colas loco if needed (37) and Colas have the contract for trackwork (70).see the Kernow Today thread in the Cornwall section of the special interest area of this forum for photos. DRS occasionally do route learning runs for railtours.
  6. 1 x TGS, 3 x TSO GW02 out soon and "should" have different seating arrangements. GW03 due December.
  7. Since I've had it, some 8 years ish same set as have most of my other Triang based motor stuff, mostly new mid 1970s. Once stored a 61 Princess in loft, uncovered for over 10 years.Worked smoothly first time. Big difference between type 3 Triang motored Hymek and later Ring field ones but my HST has been going full pelt since Christmas 1977!
  8. My oldest loco dates from 1953; Triang Jinty. Still runs as good as my latest. Indestructible, serviceable, cheap, looks the part when running. Indoor and outdoor. What more do you want ?
  9. No such thing as a dead Triang loco !
  10. Pre 1921, clerestories, Midland American, mk1 Pullmans ?? BR Manchester ? Blue Pullman well covered elsewhere. Somewhere inside it normally tells you but I don't get my copy until next month.
  11. Just caught up to date with this thread today and thought 'ah no Hummingbird HM this year ' , went out into the back garden and low and behold, there's one on the Valarian ! And on possibly the last warm day of the year too. Its been a bit strange as despite the long hot bits, poorish year. Only 5 Torts on the Buddlea at one time. Worst ever. 23 a few years back. 9 last year and I thought that was bad. One from august.
  12. Can build a snowman You can call him Father Brown He'll say... (Yey 1st Christmas song of the season !! )
  13. Sunshine on a rainy day Makes my soul trip, trip...
  14. Still no news and unable to find anything on website. Does anybody know anything about its release date ?
  15. Why does it rain all day on the day you have to put out your rubbish/sort recycling ?
  16. Will miss the droplights - even the HSTGTIs wont have them. Nice shots.
  17. Well another season has been and gone and this time, it looks like it is final. Many will miss it, some staff will be relieved and i never did get around to travelling on it ! Not the perfect year for reliability but not down to the traction. Will next years service get the photographers out, i doubt it. 18. This was 604. The traditional GWR green rather than the new version may not easily have been seen under shed lighting. The black snowploughs, red bufferbeams and brass rooflamp surround and no cab end number all unique to 604 gives it away though - plus i was on duty at the time !
  19. We now have some 45mm lgb stuff so 3 gauges to choose from this year - cat proof too !!
  20. Daddy shark do doo do do do doo daddy
