  1. Myself and one of the other operators of Gordon's Lane had a play with the HST on Friday evening on Hornby Magazines layout. It was quite the experience with the HM7000 decoders inside both power cars! Definitely going to have to contemplate doing a small TT120 layout in the future now! Nathan...
  2. We collectively told him, as his team, its your layout, you're the face of it. No point us being out there answering questions that will be for you anyway! For the layouts second official show, it was great to see so many people around it! I'm sure Greg will appreciate the kind words! Nathan
  3. Hiya, here's a video of my Blue Peter fitted up with Tornados sound set. 60532 Blue Peter with HM7000 Tornado soundset Nathan...
  4. Folly Lane is based somewhere in the Southern Region – Wessex, Sussex or Kent but loosely based upon Halsmere with aggregate yard next to the station with working level crossing & signals with wide range of stock and interesting running options using DCC system. Built by Jason Hannant and sold to a small group from the Beckenham & West Wickham MRC in July 2023. Since July, we've started to work on the layout, of which one of the first jobs, was making up a new pair of wires for the Level Crossing. This was an easy fix, with the work being done in under half an hour. The next set of jobs, was reprogramming the points for use on the Lenz system. This was a little bit tedious, but it paid off, and after reprogramming all of the point motors, we were able to run some trains. More updates will come as we get the layout up and work on it. It's first official outing under new ownership is the Bognor Regis show in January next year! For now, here's some photos from Sunday's working session. Nathan!!
  5. Coronation class 66 sounds also available now! Not sure if that's only for those who have the loco though...
  6. Ah right, no, you can't cut the antenna off. If you do you'll be condemning the decoder to the B.I.N... May be worth waiting for the non sound one to be released, as I believe that will be smaller.
  7. How do you mean? Repositioning or replacing the antenna, or the next 18 socket in the locos?? Nathan...
  8. Gutted! Still need to look at getting that X board done for AP,GL, and FL 😅😅😅
  9. Ready in time for the next workshop days yeah? 😅😅 Nathan
  10. Definitely getting one of these!!!! Can't wait!
  11. Well, managed to get Caroline chipped today, with help from Greg Marshall of Ebsworth Street/ Gordon's Lane. Shims removed, and a Dapol Imperium 1 fitted. All functions working perfect thankfully! Now the matter of refitting the felled horn on the B end of the coach roof. Paired it up with 03179 for some testing. Cheers, Nathan...
  12. Got home from work tonight to find a little brown box had been delivered, opened it up, and inside was a (thankfully) pristine box containing 00-SGMIS-002. Took the lid off and released the top of the internal packaging to find caroline sans a horn on one end (rattled down to the other end of the coach thankfully), and a nasty chip in the roof paintwork where the horn had come away. Not really impressed but it'll be an easy fix (not that I should have to be fixing it)
  13. Honestly, it's worth doing! I'm tempted to do my 08833/ D4001 up with one so it can pair better with my SF'd accurascale J69 when it's released... might also see if I can squeeze a power bank into the cab as well without doing too much damage... Nathan
  14. All preorders on the Hornby site have been cancelled as they no longer stock OR... Had an open wagon and the SR Crane cancelled on me :(
  15. No modding required, yeah smallest speaker housing was used.
  16. I can help with that. Having taken the same steps as the user you've attempted to search for, I took some photos of my Bachmann 08's innards. One thing to point out though, I attempted to fit a power bank, but couldn't, so removed it after I'd taken these photos, so ignore the PB wire on the decoder. Hope this helps!! Nathan...
  17. Sounds great! If it weren't for the fact that my 55 was in my clubs shop for sale, I'd grab it and stick a big speaker inside! Nathan...
  18. Decided to fit my plates to No.3507, now named Overlord, this evening down the club. Need to touch up the left hand name plate as the paint came away on it... Also need to clean up the areas where the plates slipped down while I was affixing them! Nothing too strenuous though! Nathan...
  19. That's going to sound amazing! Please share a video!!! Nathan..
  20. Much obliged!! So as it is, it'll charge as per normal in motion until otherwise stated, cheers!! Nathan...
  21. Found my spare powerbank yesterday afternoon whilst looking for my Costco card, and decided to fit it to my recently chipped 34050 Royal Observer Corps. Refreshed the CV's and there wasn't any notification about static charging of the PB... Is this still being rolled out, or is it just a "we recognise that one's fitted" sort of thing? Nathan...
  22. Fingers crossed fella! Been following the trials and tribulations of your loco with interest! Nathan...
  23. Think I'm going to have to order some MET ones when they get announced... picked this little beauty up in Brighton today and it needs some coaches now Hopefully in the near future! Nathan...
  24. F21-F24 are the auxilliary lighting controls, F21 and F22 do the A cab lights and blinds, F23 and F24 do the B end. Not sure how your ones managing to engage F28 when selecting F22 though... Nathan...
  25. So, myself and a few others from our club have purchased Folly Lane, and took delivery of it today, plus a chance to see how it operates. Tasked with bringing a loco each, I opted for two incase one failed, and good job I did! I took 60532 Blue Peter, and 66701 with me, both of which have had TXS decoders fitted the past few weeks. To my shock, the 66 decided not to play ball at all, so will need to see what's up with that.. Blue Peter on the other hand was amazingly well behaved! This has had the A1 Tornado sound project loaded onto it, and I must say, the sounds are a lot better than the TTS offerings for it, having watched a few youtube videos when I was getting back into DCC and sound last year.. Has anyone mastered the CV editing at all for the AFC setup? I want to turn off some of the spot sounds, firemans breakfast being one of them, and maybe swap the LNER Peanut and Chime whistles around so that the Chime plays instead of the peanut when using F28 AFC... Cheers, Nathan...
