  1. There seems to have been an issue that affected multiple Invision-hosted sites where they had to roll-back to a slightly earlier point to complete their work today. Unfortunate but such things can happen.
  2. Please don't do that again. If you do I'll remove access to the site.
  3. I knew you'd fail to see a similar one, even with a smiley to make it obvious.
  4. Are you fed up of being attached to your 'nads? 😀 Technical discussions on image repopulation issues are still in progress with Invision.
  5. Calm down! This response by Bachmann... I am pleased to confirm that the wheels fitted to these, and all Bachmann Branchline/Graham Farish models are made of metal. We have recently introduced a new blackening process for wheels like these coach wheels which provides a uniform black finish to the wheels and axles and the wheels of the models in question are treated with this process. Previously the wheel faces would have been painted black which contrasted with the metal surface of the tyres and wheel backs. Whilst not applicable to these particular models, a further painting process was and still is required to add the white rims should they be required for any particular model and in these instances, our white wheel rims receive multiple coats of white paint to prevent any opacity, such is the level of detail to which Bachmann models are produced.
  6. It's still advisable to check the source with them. I'm normally happy to provide when asked but there can be occasions when that is not appropriate. I try to make sure copyright is respected by others on here, it would be good if that were reciprocated.
  7. It's dark blue, rather than black. The new version's colour doesn't gel with me after all the years.
  8. It's the people, they're wonderful.
  9. Last witnessed at Watchet waving to strangers with a big smile on his face, most odd.
  10. As an engineering project manager it was in your Gant chart well ahead of time. Tick.
  11. Hopefully one of the GW sets so twice as many get outraged standing at the lineside with their cameras and packed lunches.
  12. Do we have to keep going over this? You either like it or you don't but whichever way just accept it's brought the railway a lot of media coverage and patronage. The awful truth* is that no individual cares if another likes it or not**. *For those who like to be heard. (Edit ** - there's only one person whose opinion counts; ma'am.)
  13. Me too but he spent most of his time on the wrong (SW) side of town!
  14. I played the long game, the day Jason told me about the Arab I quickly ejected "You know what I'd do?..." An easy door to lean on with an honorary Brummie but he did insist on doing a Fleetline first. Fair do's.
  15. Dammit, if you've filled in Rapido's form too they'll think they've got a duplicate. 😞
  16. Why even bother to try and speculate; especially with barbed tones? Just be quiet please.
  17. Rapido Trains UK celebrates the 50th birthday of the Leyland National – with all new model · All-new Leyland National models · Mk 1 and Mk 2 versions planned · Highly detailed 1:76 scale models Rapido Trains UK is delighted to kick-off 2022’s celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the Leyland National bus with a new range of 1:76 scale models. Rapido is to laser scan a Mk 1 and a Mk 2 National at Transport Museum Wythall on April 22nd. This is the first stage in the model development process and enables Rapido’s designers to fully capture the National’s distinctive shape. The new models is set to match the high standards set by its critically acclaimed 1:76 WMPTE Fleetlines and BCT ‘New Look’ Guys. Full specification are still to be confirmed but expect to see an injection-moulded plastic body to enable all panel lines and rivets to be accurately rendered. A highly detailed interior will be visible through the flush-fitting windows and the new National is also planned to have working steering. Cumberland Motor Services became the first operator to receive Leyland Nationals, with ERM35K being handed over on March 13th 1972. To celebrate this, ‘LN50’ events are to take place at Whitehaven on April 30/May 1 and at Gaydon on July 2 to mark 50 years since it entered revenue-earning service. Sales & Marketing Manager Richard Foster said, “The Leyland National is a true ‘Marmite bus’. But love it or loathe it, the National played a seminal role in British bus history. “Given that the National celebrates such a milestone this year, we’re delighted to announce that we’re adding it to our growing range of 1:76 scale buses and coaches.” The full range, livery options and prices have yet to be confirmed and you can have your say on what versions and liveries Rapido produces by filling in a form at https://rapidotrains.co.uk/leyland-national-bus/ Phil's popped along to the scanning today!
  18. A couple of weeks ago a McAfee user reported a similar problem and that he could access the page after an update. Interesting. Anyone else affected using Norton or McAfee?
  19. It's not you, there's obviously something buried deeper for which I'll have to consult with Invision. Useful clarifications have been made in the responses
