We can only comment of faults evident at the time of review, whether on that sample or proven through other means. The H Class I received was faulty (unrunnable) and its return requested for which I compiled a report. it's replacement never materialised so we never reviewed it, at that point I was told no others were faulty. 😅

Few clubs seem to harness volunteer power e.g. Scouts, cadets etc in return for a donation. You could even maybe get some younger interest longer term as a result.
-
Good, it saved you looking a clever dick when there was a reason.

As are many of the products, particularly electronics, featured in paid-for ads. New businesses spring up, take money and then disappear only to come back with a different website and the same artificially low prices. Folks and money etc. - check every such website out for reviews and how long they've been established. There are a few legitimate ones though.

It's no wonder I don't bother to post some original material these days when unnecessary and barbed comments get made. Others feel the same too so negativity does have a consequence.
-
Please stop being (absolutely) ridiculous.

My understanding is that it's quite a little powerhouse for its size; how did it feel to you? Looks like a Stirling Single type connector, chip and speaker in the tender I assume?
-
To be fair it's my personal ethical policy rather than any commercial policy in the business, it's just common sense really.

I get fed up of this worn out irritating crap from people who don't know what they're talking about.
-
No, I don't want the promotion of iffy products or sources on here. Simple.

How would someone with an ounce of common sense see my position and what the possible outcomes may be?
-
No questions being asked it seems. How much do *some* care about buying knock-offs, rejects or 'back door after end of shift' items? Not much it seems if the price tag is low enough. 🤬 Don't come on here promoting how 'clever' you are.

Rails of Sheffield commissions exclusive SECR brake van · SECR single-veranda six-wheel brake van · Designed in the UK · Highly detailed Rails of Sheffield is delighted to announce a new exclusive ‘OO’ gauge model, the South Eastern & Chatham Railway single-veranda six-wheel brake van. This model is the single-veranda version of Rapido Trains UK’s newly-announced SECR brake van. Rails’ version depicts the original body design, of which ten were ordered by the South Eastern Railway in 1898, followed by 35 built by the SECR between 1900 and 1909. Rails of Sheffield’s Oliver Davies said, “We carefully select subjects for our exclusive wagon projects to fill in the gaps, so to speak, and this new brake van offers an exciting opportunity to do just that. “Rails of Sheffield and Rapido Trains UK have put together quite a collection of ready-to-run ‘OO’ gauge SECR models and it’s great that we’re able to join forces to not only complement both our existing ranges but to offer SECR modellers more choice.” Richard Foster of Rapido Trains UK said, “Rails’ exclusive SECR brake van shares the same high standard as our dual-veranda version. It’s highly detailed externally and internally, will have a high quality finish and has split-spoke wheels in metal bearings so it should run as well as it looks. “On top of that, it’s been designed by our UK design team. The only compromise that we’ve had to make is in order to share a chassis with our model, the single-veranda version has the later oil axleboxes rather than the grease versions of the prototype. Other than that, this new model has all the hallmarks of quality that you’ve come to expect from Rapido and Rails of Sheffield.” There are three single-veranda brake vans to collect: · SKU931011: No. 2005, South Eastern Railway red livery · SKU931012: No. 2025, SECR grey with black underframe metalwork · SKU931013: No. 12067, SECR grey with black underframe metalwork These models are in tooling and we expect delivery late 2022/early 2023. RRP is £39.95. Production is extremely limited so order now to avoid disappointment.

You shouldn't. But I would think less than twice about undermining them just because of FOMO.
-
We're never going to change you and I doubt we'd even get as far as making you fe even slightly guilty.

Look, I'm not daft; these days it's cheaper to drive to the shop and get warm rather than using my gas. ; )

Absolutely not! If any shop tries to palm me off with a virtual cuppa (note - two sugars) I'm out. Look at Dragons Den, the better the quality of the tasters the more likely an investment will follow.
-
It must have only happened once then.
-
No, it was the customers what did it. I wonder why?

Sounds worse than being in Tier 3. The Lost Souls tier

Haven't you realised yet how much I despise that worn-out garbage?

Is it just me.................RTR problems

I've explained before that Bachmann test 100% of their locos before final packing. Of course transit and initial handling by shop or customer could impact a 100% outcome.
