  1. Yes; it's a regular combination now. The sales information so far indicates it's popular.
  2. TL;DR Numbered and named locos sold out way before unnumbered ones = fact which proves my statement.
  3. You're still at it! I'm removing access to the topic so you'll have to use the proper channel rather than abusing this one.
  4. Front seats on a DMU are the biz!
  5. That's not the way his words read to me.
  6. No-one has been playing games, please stop stirring Arran.
  7. Maybe the Slow Horses* have got a new base. *The best thing since Life on Mars.
  8. The website address has an interesting redirect. 😁
  9. In what way are statements of fact insulting?
  10. However, Rails have gone on to say they haven't taken ownership of the tooling.
  11. @SteveCole is up in Glasgow this weekend but should be back Tuesday.
  12. It didn't really; most were the last to sell and most discounted. A bit of a sad reflection of the how little some were prepared to do even 12-15 years ago effectively killing the idea off for good. O is a bit different though.

  14. During Plymouth Docks area evacuation yesterday I did think about the truck drivers and imagined them dressed like The Hurt Locker. That illusion was shattered when I saw a couple of blokes in boiler suits and caps putting strops round the bomb to lift it with a telehandler.
  15. New attraction in Miniatur Wunderland opens May.
  16. Possibly, I'd have to do some testing to see.
  17. Give it a bit of drain unblocking. Log out, clear any RMweb cookies from the browser, clear RMweb browsing history and log in afresh.
  18. That's the S7 hardliners; they grind flanges rather than axes.
  19. GCHQ will be sending a black chopper to pick you in 30 minutes.
  20. It does; but it's not a surprise to me in many ways as I'm able to say Richard is a friend as much as an industry contact. Many of our chats were outside work hours and not always about work or industry topics be it late night text message exchanges, Sunday or Bank Holiday chats, chats from all around the globe. Always exploratory and innovative with disarming honesty and frankness about matters, any conversation or meeting was memorable with tremendous likeability and the capacity to discuss alternative viewpoints without it ever being a disagreement. I respect who he is as much as what he achieved.
