4 days to retirement - roll on Friday

2 hour drive to Warlety, 5 hours back - was it worth it? Yes, definitely - plenty of good stuff to look at, lots to tempt the pocket, and lovely to see old friends again.

I have realised that some threads are started purely as the metaphorical equivalent to tossing a venomous snake into a kid's ball pool, why do people do this and how is this sopposed to enhance my enjoyment of what is, at the end of the day, a hobby and (for the most part) a relaxing pastime?

Lots of nice new toys in the R-T-R pipeline. I've ordered one or two myself, even. But what have I got to look forward to in the immediate future, though, eh? Thousands of blo*dy cobbles to scribe, that's what! Toys will arrive and sit on the side, whilst the scribing goes on.... bring on the brandy!
