  1. Looks fantastic - mine are in my Hatton's trunk awaiting some other goodies before shipping!
  2. I tried some of my N gauge stock on E-Bay as a toe dip in the water exercise and being based in Australia, I got signal digit views and zero bids. Whilst the deals from Hattons aren't great, they are convenient when you want to shift stock. Not sure they'd take an entire layout though! Good luck with whatever approach you take!
  3. That is such an impressive building. Fantastic modelling.
  4. Funniest example of that I ever remember was when I lived in Abu Dhabi. Back in about 1992 / 93, we only had a few TV stations available via terrestrial TV, one of which was a French cable channel rebroadcast locally. I came home from work one afternoon and was doing a quick flick through the channels when I came across some unexpected explicit 'adult' content on the French channel. It was broadcast for about 45 minutes before someone from the local TV company noticed and pulled the pin! What was funniest was the number of calls I got in that short time from my mates telling me to "switch over to the French station - NOW!!". 🤣 Oh-la-la! Rumour has it a disgruntled employee at the French station was responsible... needless to say, the French channels license was revoked quick-smart!
  5. If people buy it. I desperately want a decent 14xx - but the wait goes on... It's about time somebody had the testicular fortitude to take Hornby on with this model.
  6. Sad the opportunity to improve the 14xx wasn't taken. Missed an open goal there...
  7. Yes. Got one on order, but absolutely zero idea when it might turn up! Still, it will be a pleasant surprise when it does...
  8. Weird... I can still see it listed as 'on order' on the Rails web site.
  9. Although it currently isn't in stock, I saw that Rails of Sheffield were offering a sound fitted Dean Goods for the sum of £159.50... Sound Fitted Oxford Rail Dean Goods with Snow plough At that price I found it kind of hard to resist... plus if you live outside the UK you get the VAT off....
  10. Looking forward to this immensely. Will almost certainly buy a set of these plus at least one of the 44xx, 45xx or 4575.... Damn you Rapido and your continuous torture of my credit card!
  11. Nothing like being made welcome... is there? 😉
  12. interesting. I tried to join the TT120 Club Rest of the World but got stopped at checkout saying they couldn't ship to my address...
  13. Hattons have obviously received their allocation too - I got the notification overnight that my pre-order had been processed. Two 10T vans are now sitting in my trunk awaiting further pre-ordered stuff to make the trip to Australia with!
  14. Made me wonder.... ooh Sam... what a little beauty you lucky devil!
  15. Yes I noticed the same with the ubiquitous 18s. I'm trying a mix of 18s and 19s now but unfortunately the building of my local club is undergoing some council initiated renovations so I can't actually try that out yet!
  16. One of the things I admire about Rapido is their openness and honesty. Yes, this accident is unfortunate, but being open about what has happened is by far the best way to approach the situation. As others have said, the most important thing is that nobody was hurt. Warehouses are inherently dangerous places and the biggest single danger is falls from heights. Hopefully at least some of the stock is saleable without any further action and the majority of the rest only needs new external packaging. Time consuming and expensive, but it could have been a lot worse. Far better to 'fess' up and address it, than try to pretend nothing happened.
  17. I believe it can to be done through JMRI with a CMRI interface. Have a look at the YouTube videos on this subject by Rob, known as Little Wicket Railway on YouTube. Little Wicket Railway YouTube channel
  18. I tried so hard to resist.... but in the end I have pre-ordered a pack of three pre-1936 livery vans.
  19. Bold text above added by me. I can see what's coming now.....
  20. If you're eating goat curry, you should be eating it with your right hand only! At least that was how it was done when I lived in Abu Dhabi!
  21. My initial impressions of my GWR set last night was one of a very high quality product. The livery reproduction was excellent, there was no hint of light bleed from the coaches and the lights were not blindingly bright. The interiors are superb - I loved the luggage racks! The design of the lighting unit is most impressive - and I am really impressed with the way power is transmitted to the lights from the track - it's an innovative yet simple and robust design. Superb models and well worth the wait. I suspect that now these have arrived, the Hornby ones will be consigned to the bargain bucket and appear in droves at knock-down prices at Hatton's & Rails!
