  1. In regards to the new ones... do they correspond to any particular coach diagrams
  2. Out of intrest How accurate are the Modern Hornby Gresleys? and are there any conversion ideas for those that people would be willing to share. ive got a few in BR maroon as they were much cheaper 2nd hand than their teak equivalents and want to get more to experiment on
  3. Does anyone know where i can aqquire a BR black DCC ready version of this as Rails have sold out and KR's website is being funny at the moment. Further to that, What livery would this loco have worn had it been completed by the LMS?
  4. Would the Earlier pre-BR built Diagrams be catered for eventually? the ones that were classified 'Private Owner' before BR?
  5. What are the names of the ones with the A4 Boiler? I know sandwich is one but im not sure about the others. The tender isnt amazingly important as they are easy to get
  6. Did Hornby do any other A3's with the A4 Boiler and Streamlined (Different to the banjo im assuming) dome ?
  7. Some GCR Engines wouldnt go amiss... Jersey Lillie (c4) , Sam Fay (b2) or Glenalmond (b8) Class Anyone?
  8. Which Hornby A3 is best to use with Graeme King's parts @micklner?
  9. Coming back to this after a month or two of pondering, Did you end up having to replace the smokebox??
  10. Is it worth going for a couple of those wagon kits as there are a couple on that im intrested in.
  11. Has there been any more Updates on the Fairlie?
  12. I Agree. For along time, these kits were lost in the abyss that was Coopercraft. 'Basic kits' and 'Take alot of work to get decent' is true of alot of kits, not just kirk ones. Peco and Parkside are examples of that
  13. Regarding TCut... Yeah, ive tried t cut on black paint before and it didnt quite work well. Il try your blade idea on another engine i need renumbering as i wont be getting the A2 until months end. Thanks for the tip
  14. What would people suggest for removing the numbers from the loco sides? i dont fancy repainting them as the Hornby LNER Green would be a right pain to match paint to.
  15. Personally i think the LNER Small-engine roster needs a bit of new life, Class N5, C2, N1 or D6 Would be nice (I Have somewhat of a GNR/GCR Bias)
  16. Is it worth picking one or two of these up? im currently expanding my collection of LNER Express Locomotives and was wondering if they are a good buy? the examples id probrably want to get are the LNER livery 500 Edward Thompson and 514 Chamoissaire
  17. Would Modifying the keeper plate to drop them down a tad work? As a major express engine i wouldnt run it on small radius anyway but I would like to know what work entails to actually get them to turn
  18. is there any way to cure the rear trailing wheels not touching the rails when placed upon the track
  19. I Take it that the Palbrick isnt supposed to have Pink-ified wheels?
  20. Can you elaborate on that? ive not had much of an issue with HMRS stuff. Then again, im not an expert on the matter by any means
  21. As it happens, i do have the B2 Boiler and Cab somewhere in my parts/abandoned projects draw. Il dig it out.
  22. I do plan on getting a pair of the Bachmann examples to bolster my fleet at some point. it certainly seems like an earlier one as its in a standard looking box as opposed to being in the flimsy card and blister pack arrangements the later Ks kits were in (i had a right pig of a B2 kit like that. Gave up on that quite quickly). I might take a chance with it to see how easy older kits are to put together. do you think its theoretically possible to modify it to an O5?
