  1. A Platoon of... ? or a Squad maybe ? Caught between the LMR or Army Liveries... suppose with the LMR there are other LMR rolling stock and Locos out there ( even an outside chance of an S160 if Rapido go N with that as well) but the Army one looks good.... mmmm
  2. Well done for biting the S160 Bullet. Hope it goes well, sells well and that you will consider an N gauge product also.
  3. Faced with a similar Dilemma as i want to rebadge some farish ( N Gauge) ones to Early BR. Surely as fitted wagons these would have been Bauxite with white lettering
  4. Illustrates my point perfectly and would have me scrabbling for my ' files'...
  5. Seems to have been a long tome ciming and whilst the body, frame, buffers , couplings etc may be an improvement the brake rigging doesnt, appear all that clever, not on this wagon anyway.
  6. Wonder if there was enough work done for Bachman to consider updating their N Gauge offering...
  7. Arrived at FMR today, fancied another Mermaid ( dont we all) but at £ 28... im having to think about it some...
  8. Indeed, i have made a lighter shade cream wash and a deeper crimson wash add gone over my Dapols ( all 9, what a pain...) Carefull not to cover the details ( lettering, linings), just the larger panels -once coverage is more than 80% the the eye cant distinguish between similar shades from about a foot away ...
  9. Since the Mermaids sold like hot cakes there must be a demand for a few sharks...!
  10. Does anyone know what the correct size Hex nut/spinner is for the centre driver crankpin on a Dapol 9f, none of mine seem to work?
  11. Compared to the actual Birds Custard that Dapol used on their Gresleys, even more custard-like than railmatch 312 I suppose I should be more forgiving. Sure variations did occur but perhaps not as extreme as this. Even today Saphos rails blood and custard is different to ( and more attractive than) Tornado's support coach...
  12. Also noticed the wheels aren't actually the same diameter as Mk 1's /NGS bg,/ hawksworth, but look good. Pity they wont match.
