  1. I thought everyone would know by now.... Its not how many Accurascale Models you own that counts (although it helps McC's accounts, keeps Fran in cake bites and they do look very nice), but what you do with them that matters. (And the only dirty thing that comes to mind is weathering!)
  2. Well the easiest way to get to a modeller to platinum would be to produce the more varieties than Heinz - Class 47......Cough, Cough..... Accurascale could produce their first 'Duff' model..... Thought I'd get a pun in before Fran tries....... How much more 'Spoon' feeding do you need?
  3. That was the old days, wrong flask and wrong colour. No one dare do it with an FNA-D, for fear of ASLEF claiming that the locomotive don't meet crash worthiness standards.....
  4. Seem to think 37/0's could have similar fun and frolics...... https://www.google.com/url?q=https://m.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3Dm8HGtibUMCc&sa=U&ved=2ahUKEwjHqdiajfb_AhWCSMAKHZnVBzcQtwJ6BAgJEAE&usg=AOvVaw25gzDytmsbytv17VryTF-U
  5. Yes, the curse of the intermediate taillamp. Technically its wrong (and I have reported them on a number of occasions), but for the sake of a few mm on a model I don't let it worry me. I would sooner have the ability to have a flashing taillamp on both ends, as I doubt its added to the cost. What's worse - a taillamp or no taillamp? Rather than drastic surgery, have you thought of simply covering it over by making a small hood, painted either the wagon colour or black. Between a loco and wagon then, its hardly going to be noticeable or something people are hardly going to see! Or if you weather your stock, its an opportunity to dull it down considerably. The other idea is if you want 4 with only one taillamp is either buy another pack and sell the extra tail lamp fitted ones on.....sure there are some folks who would just like one!
  6. ......Bit like passengers always wanting to use the same door on trains..... Sure there is a psychology behind it....
  7. We will live in the hopes that the 'Gods' reply favourably...after playing with a 37/4 with Accurathrash and wheelslip, the 37/0 with cold start (is good),but it's like eating a chicken sandwich when you craving a Chicken Shish Kebab! The only other idea for us thrash junkies, (as a compromise) would be if there was a DCC reblow available which gives wheelslip and gets rid of the cold start?
  8. On 37/0's they have the cold start, but sadly loose the F8 wheelslip..... Personally I much prefer the wheelslip, as cold start don't really get used that much (possibly once when you start the loco for a few seconds?) , whereas I intend for the 'girls' to do some serious hard graft most of the time, with a driver who uses the power handle as a whip to show them whose their master..... My question is, with the 37/6's will they have the wheelslip, and not cold start. (Bowing to the Accurascale Gods) -Please, pretty please, please.......
  9. Looking very nice. Out of interest what method did you use to get the numbers off without damaging the paintwork? Also the numbers are they a rub on as I cannot see any carrier film?
  10. I take it then for all releases DC in the future including current 37,50,55, 66,89 and 92 announcements will have hall sensors installed then.
  11. I don't think that non sound fitted locomotives have the Hall Sensors, so it won't scream (but if tread on it, you will!)
  12. I take it that means you are 'skimping' on the working forward facing camera then? That opening roof panel would have been great for a memory card slot to download the data!
  13. You gotta feel for the Brummies in the Accurascale Warehouse as the range has expanded. Then when it gets a little quiet, either another delivery turns up, or some goes for a quick fag break, trips over a pallet of long sold out stock, and it goes crazy again.....No rest for the wicked!
  14. Or is it due to the extra power taken by Accurathrash speakers. The other reason that comes to mind is that Graeth didn't want a too quiet Class 37!
  15. Sensible, but Is that proactive, or reactive from grandchildren previously reverse engineering a model?
  16. .....Destined for release in production run number 37,037? (May take a while!) May be quicker to renumber 37051!Actually on this point, pre Deltic release, Accurascale did a YouTube video on Deltic number removal. I am just wondering how easy number removal, and possibly other embellishments such as Names and Depot Plaques are to remove on the Class 37? I suppose the ultimate test, is how easy Large Logo numbers are to change. Then of course its ensuring that the locomotives in question are compatible by sharing the correct details.
  17. They are the only car carrier I ever saw at Exeter when on my holidays. As it was Silcock distribution, expect these were the only wagons they had. There were Motorails that went further, including FGW attempt with converted GUVs. I would have thought until the end, I certainly recall seeing them late on, with 50029 in NSE shunting them on one occasion! The two sidings were both certainly just long enough for one set!
  18. With the excellent Class 92 with its working Pan, Bachmanns very good Class 90,then I feel that a Accurascale Class 86 on par with the 92 would pretty much nail the last 35 years or so of the WCML. Then of course there is the Hornby 87 and full fat Class 82 DVT as accompanyment to. Plus of course, it falls nicely in the category of English Electric Workhorse as per Class 37,50 & 55 and has lots of variations in detail to get the Irish boys frothing more than a can of freshly shook up Guiness!
  19. I'm sure when I post on the Accurascale Thread, I brighten McC's day up the most.
  20. Royalties of £10 per loco from Accurascale for each model sold should do nicely!
  21. All the DRS ones so far have the larger LED surrounds! Original Class 37 tail lights are very small and Dim as per 418!
