  1. In that case, bitten by 2000 fleas! Looks like I will have to survive with a Lima one then. Would have gone well with my ARC PTA's and would not have noticed the incorrect mustard colour so well! Do you know Simon whether it ever ran any passenger trainsvin its Railfreight guise?
  2. Talking of instanters, has anyone been able to get them to work between HAAs in the short position. Tried a couple of times when bored, but no luck!
  3. I suppose it depends how 'faithfully' Accurascale can get the paint finish, plus additional cost.
  4. 50149, did it ever have a black '9' on the front with a correct size number? While prototypical, just looks soooooooo wrong. In the good old days of corporate identity and a new paint job, let down at the final hurdle..... Even the 9 painted black with a marker pen would have been better. ... Hope the person who did it got bit by a thousand fleas on a Bubble Car A exam!
  5. Late 80's-Early 90's is probably the right era. For early 80's, surely everyone wants 07 Hercules, not that renamed rubbish? Recall seeing 07 on a VHS towards the end of its life got a repaint (courtesy I think of Laira Trainees) to go with D400, so just prior to this time. 50149 I take it has CP7's via the Class 37 tooling suite?
  6. With all your Accurascale Exclusives that keep coming, its irrelevant. Its not worth the fight! Theres only the scraps on the bone left to spend on 'everything else'!
  7. I would not like to be a bookie, when the odds of Accurascale doing a super model are pretty much a certainty, regardless of subject. Besides Patrick and Fran are quite well built figures. Suppose who had the advantage would depend on the chosen weapon - product, zimmer frame or ego. I know which 37 I have put money on..... As duplication continues, I doubt very much that any journalists will dare to compare competing products together ..... As I say at work on a Friday and Saturday night, 'Cowards live longer!'
  8. There are some people in model railways who are big enough twits when sober!
  9. Not for the faint hearted.... 66,47,08-13. Plus unfortunately them 92 bogies would go well under a 60. And with the tech from the electrics, painting abiliy on the TPE MK5, Opens up the Class 88. One large gap on the wagon front is you not having an intermodal wagon. That would put some of your Irish Containers to good use, if Irish is OO (pardon my ignorance). It would also make for a good Accuraload too! Yummy Bell containers.....
  10. It was a very nice gesture, which got repaid by one company stating on their website that theirs would be far better. Not how I would have repaid such decency, and a manufacturer with such exacting standards. TBH, as you have become a mainstream manufacturer then I think its actually the case that there are certain items that you need in your portfolio, to compliment your existing and future product. For Diesel and Electric Era, the two whalloping gaps. Plus for the smaller layout, something to shunt them, although apart from no lights and it's cost, the Margate one is very good. The real opportunity with that is...... (but not saying it on here, because walls have ears....) But like you say, another time, another thread!
  11. The handbrake chain mod is quite something. Its looks like you may have been copying Hornbys technologies. Suppose that means we should all go and buy an R......
  12. I don't know, how the industry is going with some companies getting upset with duplication, Warley may become a Warzone....... Thing is no-one has a divine 'right' to anything. In fairness with the HAA and CDA Accurascale kept away from some of the most popular liveries, to give a competor an easier ride, which was commendable. I'm not sure with the actions of some competitors in recent times, such altruistic behaviour in the future can be justified.
  13. Its probably a carcastic omen, zero points refers to the fact that there is no point commissioning a model if your not gonna sell it....
  14. Yes, but now McC knows that Fran has cost him a few euros in lost revenue. Thats Frans cake bites gone for all shows including Warley this year. Your officially on Frans s+++list now, just like me! Welcome to the unofficial 'Accurascale Club'! Just don't tell anyone about the Limited Edition Deltic in Irish Black and Orange we are getting done! Sssshhhhhh!
  15. You may have been selling them off cheap, like another manufacturer has with their Collectors Club editions. You wouldn't have had to take the certificates out cause the original benefactor of 92017 didn't do them! Actually, its a shame after your recent models that your designer hadn't been allowed to do something 'sexy' with the box with it being Stobart. Not his fault, but it must have been an easy day in the office, but soooooo hard for him to knock something up that resembles a black and white tv screen, when he's used to technicolor! Thinking laterally, the St.Piran theme could have been utilised, with photos in the other three rectangles of the flag. Definitely one, where beauty lies within! More points for the promotion, please....... 😇
  16. Loose lips and ships! How much was it? I have unfortunately purchased and funded the Cornish Charity. So been robbed anyway without setting foot on the A38! 😭 For the promotion and sales generation Fran, wheres my Accurascale Reward points????? 😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇
  17. Kernow Newsletter Just Landed.... Low stock alert, 92017 nearly sold out already. No mention of our 'Friends 😇(or foe 👹) at Accurascale having stock.....
  18. On the new Purple Gordon, apart from the modifications for the second run of Deltics, are there any livery differences on the second D9016 run? Also, will the box graphics be different (apart from just the larger side label) from the first to the second edition, to make them easily distinguishable?
  19. Yes, but are they up to modern locos? On the latest Hornby set controllers doublehead Hattons 66's and controller overloads in a couple of seconds. On one of the earlier ones, the lights don't work correctly. I think you have to look at it that people who are spending considerable amounts of money on modern and technologically advanced model railways, should really be looking towards more than entry level controllers, whether DC or DCC to get the most out of the hobby and their locomotives. Increasing compatibility with more basic controllers, could jeopardise future progress. Personally I find track curvature one of the most annoying aspects of the hobby... With kinematic couplings we have trains that cannot be easily coupled and uncoupled on curves and drooping couplings that require the patience of a saint, while modellers obsessed by detail are running trains on curves where the bogies look silly.
  20. Come on McC, sort your staff out. The good news is New Bryford has made a Meridian. Hopefully that means someone will hopefully be producing one soon. Fingers crossed Accurascale....
  21. Now that moquette is heritage and brings back memories of the good old days of railways...... By no means perfect but at least Stagecoach had some sort of clue on how to run a railway. I digress, the hi-viz makes the gang quite well camouflaged, and on occasions it made wasps quite hard to spot too, until they stung you..... Three fare evaders, quick get the fly squatter......... Got to had it to you, talking to them, that is pretty scary...... Getting an answer back, well that could definitely get you locked up!
