  1. Yep, they are the wrong blue Simon
  2. Tracklaying (almost) finished All of the track is in place now. Only the fuel unloading siding needs to be glued down as I am waiting for the last uncoupling magnet to arrive. TMD tracks are now complete... and the layout is looking a bit more "Buxtonlike"... Cheers Simon
  3. The road looks a lot better now mate Simon
  4. Hi Dave, Thanks. I'd like to see your photos on here Simon
  5. Another tracklaying update - nearly there now! Today the sidings were finished (including uncoupling magnets at the ends)... and the tracks leading up to the TMD... Thanks for looking Simon
  6. I will need at least two of them. Buxton ones obviously
  7. Cheers, thanks for looking and commenting Matt Simon
  8. Tracklaying update Today I finished the point work all of the way up to the headshunt... and started the sidings at the side of the TMD Cheers Simon
  9. Hi Jim Thanks. I found mine on ebay, It's a Dapol limited edition of 180, there are four left... Cheers Simon
  10. Tracklaying for today meant that I have finished the station tracks. I got less done than expected today because I needed to fit the undertrack uncoupling magnets at the same time. The position of the magnets will allow the uncoupling of two 3 car Class 108s, uncoupling of a Class 108 and 128 DPU (with DPU on either end) or release of a loco, wagon or snowplough etc Cheers Simon
  11. Thanks Shaun I agree. Also when locos arrive for the depot, they go over the crossover and back to the headshunt - It would look wrong if crossover was "off scene" Simon
  12. I got a bit more track down this evening including the fiddle-yard board entry tracks... Towards the fiddle-yard... and towards the station...
  13. Track laying started this evening. I haven't got lots done but starting it feels like an achievement. Hopefully progress will be swift from here. This is looking towards the fiddle-yard... This view is looking towards the station...
  14. That's good enough for me. This picture also shows a decent view of the CLASP building Thanks Simon
  15. Cheers Matt I have just finished painting the baseboard tops... All of the points have had the springs removed and been modified to improve reliability. The next step is starting the tracklaying! Thanks Simon
  16. You have some superb locos on here and lots of details on the layout, well done! Simon
  17. The new building makes a big difference to the photos, it was definitely needed to fill in the background. Awesome Simon
  18. Those Choppers look awesome, which one were you thinking of renumbering it as? I think 20305 "Gresty Bridge" seems the most appropriate. I captured it at Barrow Hill Roundhouse in 2016 Simon
  19. I've been in the garage today and "cut in" the gradients on the baseboards This picture shows where the TMD will be with the sidings and station approach at the lower level... and this one shows where the headshunt rises above platform level... Thanks for looking Simon
  20. I am intending to run that formation, if it is possible - I just need to try it and if there is too much difference in the motors have a word with Biff (Legoman Biffo) to see if they can be "matched". The pics I have seen have the DPU leading the 108 towards Buxton though - either way works for me Simon
  21. Loco fleet The loco fleet for Buxton so far is 08 Shunter (x1), Class 20s (x4)... and Class 25s (x3) and Class 37 (x1)... Thanks Simon
  22. Buxton DMUs Passenger and parcels stock so far consists of one Class 128 DPU and two "Buxton" Class 108 3-car DMUs Simon
  23. It's good to see this progressing Matt, keep at it mate!
