The only items not included in the kit are the concrete slabs for the tanks. The sizes for these are given and I used a razor saw and some 6mm MDF to make them After the main structures (minus details) were built I checked positions Happy with the look I painted the tanks and access steps/walkways Cheers Simon

New fuel point has arrived While browsing on the web for Buxton related items I came across the following on ebay... It is a 3D printed kit and every detail is on there, I had a look through the images and ordered a 3-tank kit (as at Buxton). A 2-tank kit is also available The kit components out of the box I must say the print quality is excellent and the kit really has been well designed Thanks for looking Simon

Hardstanding...again! This week I have finished the mounting board and I have got around to spraying it. Fuel point... TMD area... There are still a couple of areas that need a touch of filler to tidy them up, then a heavy weathering needs to be applied Thanks for looking Simon

Hardstanding - Sunday The shed hardstanding was worked on today to link up with the footpath Here it is with the fuel pumps in place... and a better angle with the shed Since the above pictures I have fitted the parts between the tracks up to the board join I have used two layers of mounting board to make the hardstanding - 5 small (A4-ish) sheets in total Thanks for looking Simon

"Double heading" Today I played around with the double heading feature of the Lenz DCC system. This enables you to run two separate locos/units on one address while keeping their individual addresses for when you split the double header up, below are a couple of examples of how I will be using this on Buxton Station & TMD... Club night at Buxton Instead of the usual club night at Shaun's, I asked the group if they wanted to meet at my place and have a running session on Buxton - which they did Dave, Shaun (operating below) and Paul arrived and I spent the time leaving them to operate while I watched from the viewing side. The ICI hoppers leave after entering the station to run back over the crossover I also placed the shed and fuel tanks/pump houses in position to get the feel for what it will be like when completed. The departmental coaches are not accurate to the ones that should be at Buxton but will act as placeholders until I can make/buy the appropriate ones An overview of the scenic section, it's definitely looking Buxtony - real word! 🤣 Thanks for looking Simon

Main Panels continued After brushing past the panel a couple of times I realised the plastic corners will get damaged if they aren't protected so I added a few sides Thanks Simon

Main Panels Today I fitted the main panels to their respective baseboards The split is where the board join is. They were fitted so they can be tilted forwards to access the wiring etc as seen here The first wiring I have done is for the Lenz LRC120 displays which will show the DCC address of the stock which will be inside the depot. Testing was carried out with my two Buxton class 108s - DCC address 108 and 1082 Thanks for looking Simon
