  1. Hi Dave Lovely photo. There is just something about the Heljan class 47! I know it has it's faults but it just looks right, especially weathered. Or is it just me? Regards Stephen
  2. Hi I know this is like the teaching granny to suck eggs routine to Mick. How about spraying the orange first, then mask it off and then spray your blue. Just a thought Stephen
  3. Hi Slightly off topic. I'm sure this will have been mentioned before. Our big exhibition in Scotland each year is held in the Secc in Glasgow and by chance there is also a jobs fayre and a wedding fayre on at the same time, all held in neighbouring halls. One wag was heard to say "Oh great! Get a job, get a wife and get a life" It certainly caused plenty of laughter from the stewards on the door. Stephen Ps I think the same exhibitions are all on at the same time again this year. What more do you want:-X
  4. Hi Colin That's a rather far travelled KUS 606 E an ex Glasgow Corporation Leyland Atlantean. Thanks for listing Stephen
  5. Hi Have you thought about double sided tape to secure the containers? It allows you to chop and change the containers about, if ever you need to. I've used it for a few years now on these wagons and it's never caused any bother. Regards Stephen
  6. Hi Yes. That's one of them. Maybe also try Ayr mrg. Stephen
  7. Hi Look up the ones by Mus 256f and zander. Maybe better sending me a pm from now on, as it is taking up a lot of space on the topic. Stephen
  8. Hi Again. If you type in Swinlees on theYou tube search facility you should get all the footage you need. Stephen
  9. Hi We as a club (Ayr mrg) did some you-tube footage of our dc powered layout "Swinlees" about four years ago. If you care to look it up you will hear/see what is available. It was a means to an end at the time and very limited, as most members on here will correctly tell you. Someof our members couldn't/wouldn't entertain Dcc at the time. This has changed over time and we have built new Dcc layouts and hardly anybody uses the dc powered Swinlees now, hence the lack of updates. In fact it's up for sale now to allow us the space for a new Dcc layout. Hope that helps. Stephen
  10. Hi Lee I think you can see that thankfully the concensus is, to carry on as before. Best Regards Stephen

  19. Hello The barrier wagons in the photograph can be modelled by removing the main hopper from the HEA chassis. What I did was buy the RNA cast weight infills from Genesis Models. It was then just a case of re-spraying the cast infill black and then securing it into the chassis. I believe you can now buy the relevant transfers for these barrier wagons, but I'm not sure who does them. If I remember correctly just ordinary hea/haa/vba etc were also used as barriers. The brake vans I'm not sure about, something tells me they were tops code Car. But don't quote me. Sorry Craig if I'm jumping in. I hope my input is of some help. Stephen
