  1. To save me reading back more than two pages. Has anyone had any word from Rails as to their Deltic delivery situation? And when to expect any pre-ordered models? Stephen
  2. Aye. Well. That's a first. The things you have to do to get a Dapol coupling at the right height.
  3. 37 097, 97 407, 55 022 and 31 101 on the depot tonight. No loose bits. Runs very smoothly. Well worth the wait. 👏👏
  4. The first wash of Mig rust brushed on and then rubbed off again using a cotton bud and some ipa. I've left the decks untouched as one of the 3d printer lads has hinted at producing sleeper loads😊
  5. My 10 ft x 2ft layout Park Road Tmd. Built originally by Craig Watson.
  6. Hi There was plenty of customer support if you contacted Hattons themselves. Numerous times I've had spare parts sent free to either replace missing or damaged parts. They obviously didn't want to add petrol to the flames by getting involved in what would have been a roasting on here. Everyone knew there were issues, but at the same time those that bought them could see the overall potential of a cracking model after fixing said minor issues. I do hope Hattons do another run, as to me they are the best model of a Class 66 out there. The space to fit a decent sized speaker is one of the many pluses.
  7. Nearly giving your age away there Eric.
  8. My latest purchase at the excellent Glasgow exhibition was from Rainbow Railways is this re-spray of GBRF 66 793. Thanks guys. One of many liveries which I'm sure would sell really well if released by Hattons.
  9. Some depot shots of my Hattons GBRF Class 66's. Just to keep the topic fresh.
  10. No current plans to produce anymore Class 66's at present' was the unfortunate response I got yesterday when I asked a Hattons staff member. We may see some when the Dapol 59 appears, whenever that may be.
  11. Hi Are there any plans for a re-run of these wagons? Thanks Stephen
  12. I'd like to see more EWS versions. They're like hens teeth now.
  13. Hi The weathering was done by myself. I sprayed on Lifecolor frame dirt and then wiped it off using kitchen roll and cotton buds. I then gave the whole wagon a lite misting of frame dirt and roof dirt on various parts. I cleaned the data panels with cotton buds dipped in IPA. It was sealed with a coat of Humbrol spray matt varnish.
  14. This really is a great wagon model. Here's my two behind 37 009. I've got a feeling some more could be purchased at Glasgow.
  15. I managed to get the elusive GBRF liveried class 66 'Sarah' Hopefully this clear out is making way for new releases of the class 66.
  16. Hi They are just as cheap buying direct from the makers. Retailers usually put a mark up on ebay due to the charges.
  17. Would it maybe worth approaching one/some of the new 3d printing people? They are producing some excellent detailing parts etc, at reasonable prices.
  18. I also was wondering about loads for the BLA's. I see them advertised, but at £20 per wagon, I was a bit put off. Does anyone know if there are any other recommended suppliers out there?
  19. Hi It was only fitted to EWS class 66's as it was to do with coupling upto the HTA coal hoppers. Hth Stephen
  20. I don't know if this will be allowed, but I've found it a very handy way of identifying ESU chips.
