This is a very useful page. If would be great if it could be kept at the top of the topic page.

Hi Martyn Sorry I just noticed this post. The wagon and carriage works at Barassie closed in 1972. I'm sure there's an image of those coaches in use at Barassie station in a book by the son of Derek Cross which is based on Ayrshire.

Hi I wouldn't be surprised if the mk1 suburbans were exclusively used for the BR Barassie workers trains.

RevolutioN Trains Announce Cartic-4 Car Carriers in OO Gauge

The Stranraer Speedlink usually had a couple on it. -
'Celebrity' locos are fine occasionally, but it's the bread and butter un-named standard liveried locos that I'd like. New batches of EWS, DRS, GBRF, Freightliner locos would be nice. These are the ones that sold out far quicker and are going for high prices on ebay, so there is a demand for them.

Try Rainbow Railways.

Hi How about this from Butlers printed models. It comes unpainted. Lovely model that requires a little bit of work and painting. There's a great selection of tracked and wheeled vehicles.

Hi I totally back your idea of offering realistically weathered versions of the TEAs. In my opinion it is a vastly overlooked option that I think will find favour with a lot of modellors. Personally speaking I would buy all mine weathered as long as there is a good variety on offer as opposed to just one or two. Stephen

I notice that there's now only one version of the old EWS/DB maroon livery left on sale. The news today of another new wagon release, which will complement the 66 is hopefully food for thought at Hattons. I for one would certainly be interested in models in the new variety of liveries and also the original liveries but with new numbers.

Thanks for the heads up. I've checked and I have three of the Freightliner version in varing degrees of cracking. I wonder how many more times this is going to happen in the future with other models:-(

JSA, by Accurascale
Lowlander replied to Accurascale Fran's topic in Accurascale / Irish Railway Models
Hi Mark I agree with your first two paragraphs. I too like some of the posters, have had issues with my open JSA wagons. Mine arrived with the guard rails and a buffer all lieing in the centre of the wagons. The box was perfect as were the internal wraps, tissue and all. The wagons hadn't moved in the packing that I could see. My first point of contact was Accurascale as this was my second box with the exact same items lieing loose inside the wagons. As usual the lads were on the ball in replying. An offer of repair was politely declined as I could repair the wagons myself. My point being this was my second time of having to do so. Seeing other people comment on here lets me know that it just wasn't myself that had an issue. I fully trust the lads at Accurascale when they say my comments will be brought up at the next production meeting and the issues will be dealt with. Knowning about the problem, be it one way or another, stops things from spiralling and also shows that Accurascale by their replies and actions are what you want from a manufacturer when dealing with said issues. It certainly wont deter me from buying in the future. Happy Birthday by the way . Stephen -
Hi Mick Which stay alive did you use? Thanks Stephen
-
Hi It'd maybe worthwhile contacting where you bought them, and see if they can offer some advice. Stephen
-
Hi If the option is open to all? If you're printing a batch. I'd be interested in buying some. Stephen

Accurascale Class 55 Deltic - 4mm scale
Lowlander replied to Andy Y's topic in Accurascale / Irish Railway Models
Hi Fran I think maybe you'll be missing a trick here, by not selling the sound chip separately. You're creating a new space in the dcc sound sector for Deltic sound chips. And that's going to be filled with someone elses sound chips. I myself for example have ordered two Deltics from Rails. One with sound and one not. I will definitely fit sound to the other one over time. I wont be the only one adding sound at a later date. You could also sell them through the other outlets that sell your products. Regards Stephen -
Hi Nick. As a matter of interest when you purchased it, was it new or was it a return? Stephen
-
Hi Contact them through the 'direct chat' bubble on their homepage. They usually engage with you within minutes. The spares have usually been available from them on proof of purchase. Which they can usually check from their system. Stephen

Hi NIR Totally agree with what you say. I've found the Hattons online team to be excellent at customer service. They could not be more helpful. A credit to Hattons. Stephen

Hi Matt Have a look at what Peter Dixon has been doing on YouTube to sort the axlebox issues. It is a simple fix and should offer a more long term solution. More and more people have taken the plunge at the cheaper prices and once they actually have the model for themselves they realise that it is a far superior model compared to the Bachmann model. Once the axleboxes issue is sorted it'll be one of the best modern image models out there. Hopefully now Hattons can be encouraged to do more with different numbers and liveries. Merry Christmas everyone. Stephen

Accuraloads, by Accurascale

Shh. He's on holiday :-) -
Hi Chris. I would have a look at the wiring on the circuit board. I've found that since the wires are no longer soldered to the tabs on the circuit board, that sometimes they are not making contact due to the black plastic sleeves not being pushed in properly, or the wire slipping out of the sleeves.
