  1. Does anyone know the date when the daily pick up goods between Kings Lynn and Hunstanton ended?
  2. Did any Class 31's make it in green livery on the Western Region after they were transferred from the Eastern Region? Or had they all been repainted before then?
  3. George, what is the formation for your two coach DMU replacement service? Is it an SK and a BSK?
  4. Any ideas for what your new layout might be? Location? Era?
  5. Didn't someone say this layout was going to appear in a magazine around this time? Be great to see it.
  6. What if anything is going to replace it? Bookazines? Surely there is still plenty of content.
  7. Pictures of all of the variations are up on TMC's website now: http://www.themodelcentre.com/all-tmc-limited-editions/?sort=alphaasc
  8. Did the sand to Middleton Towers go via this route in open wagons? Do you recommend any other good books / sources of photos for the King's Lynn / March / Wisbech area for the last 1960s era?
  9. It does add variety and fits in very well in my opinion. I don't know if you have a copy of 'Diesels in East Anglia' by Dr Ian Allen but this shows something very similar; a Class 30 D5573 on a King's Lynn to March service in 1965 entering Emneth station with a three coach train.
  10. Is that the Andrew Ingram photo showing D5633 with passenger train 3L28 preparing to leave Wisbech East station bound for March? Do you know what service 3L28 was? Was it an Empty Coaching Stock train?
  11. I was interested to see a loco hauled passenger train on your layout (Class 31 + 2 maroon MK1s). Were these regular performers on this particular line? If so, I wonder why they were needed with all the DMUs available?
  12. Any idea which edition of the HMRS Journal it was?
  13. I was also at WycRail and would also like to say how impressed I was with the layout, you've done a marvellous job. I'm sure I noticed a Vanwide with a TOPS code on but other than that could not fault it!
  14. Atlas Editions do a good M4 Sherman Tank suitable for the WWII era in 1:72 scale as part of their Ultimate Tank Collection but still struggling to find any suitable tanks for the late 1960s/1970s which could be used as a load.
  15. Tony, thanks for this, it really is fascinating. Would you be so kind to scan the Cornwall based shunter duties, i.e. St Blazey, Penzance (Long Rock), etc?
  16. Interesting project, I shall watch with interest. I've always hoped someone would write a feature article in Traction magazine on a typical Summer Saturday at Scarborough but alas no one has yet!
  17. Great modelling. What did you use for the barrow crossings between the DMU and the fuel point?
  18. Does anyone know what the completed title of the business on the corrugated metal building? ...ERS LIMITED
  19. a decent 6-wheel milk tanker of any description would be nice!
  20. George, have you built any new wagons for your layout or made any minor alterations / additions? Some ex SR 12T vans would look great in the goods yard.
  21. Adrian do you know the make and model of this little trailer in the picture?
  22. How do you represent the Inwards house bricks in 12t Tubes service that you have referred to? Are the bricks loose or pallatised? How are the bricks unloaded? Manually or by some sort of mechanical hand?
  23. Can anyone recommend any good miniature bricks in 4mm scale OO gauge? They are intended as a wagon load rather than for building purposes. There are a couple of different options available from sellers on Ebay but difficult to know which is best or why there is such a big price differential: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/390729188979?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/161304880942?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  24. In your fictitious world, does the grain factory / silos receive coal deliveries in 16T mineral wagons?
