    I'll be starting a thread about this, but my query may get a wider audience here - Does anyone know where I might be able to find the music from British Transport Films' Terminus (1961)? A strange request, I know, but I quite like it!!! A nice variety in there, and most of it is to my taste!

      Haha - I had just found that when I returned here to see if anyone had replied!

       

      I feel even sorrier for him now that I know it was a set up and his Mum knowingly left him, for the cameras.

    Does anyone else judge a townscape by whether they'd want to live there?

      Sometimes, but not always - If it's a model of a grim corner of some city or other then I probably wouldn't want to live there, but it might be beautifully modelled and very evocative of the locality it seeks to represent.

      I offer here Harford Street, by a friend of mine:

      A beautiful, in my opinion, recreation of Post-War North London - Full of rot and decay. I wouldn't really want to live there but it's nicely modelled!

       

      It's suddenly occurred to me that you might mean 'in real life', in which case I agree with you!!!

    The Mid Hants Railway reopened for services today with 4MT Mogul 76017 and Ivatt 2MT Tank 41312 in service. Next week will see 41312 replaced with the 2H DEMU Unit No.1125 - If you are looking to travel please note that until July all services will originate from Alresford and will terminate at Medstead & Four Marks.

      All of the above. There are too many things that are allegedly 'Iconic' or 'Legendary' and certainly too many people. Mind you, I'm sometimes guilty of referring to London Transport 1938 tube stock as 'Iconic'.
