  1. Pinking shears Used in tailoring to help prevent fraying.
  2. If you're not comfortable buying online, there's always the phone... or snail mail! At least you'd be able to re-stock?
  3. Couldn't agree more... it's amazing how much easier it seems when it's warm!
  4. The key ID feature for red kites is the deeply forked tail. Buzzard's tails are more fan-shaped.
  5. Well I guess you're someone who should know! I bow to your superior knowledge...
  6. Butanone works well on these parts, much more aggressive.
  7. As far as I'm aware Parkside have always been using ABS for all their chassis, O, OO and N.
  8. A bargain! One assumes you've missed out a "thousand"... A truly marvellous piece of work, museum quality.
  9. That link is for A class tanks, but the B class tank page also has plenty of colour shots... with yellow axle boxes! Don't know how I've missed those previously... very poor! https://paulbartlett.zenfolio.com/essobtankwagonvb Pretty conclusive I think... p.s. time to get the yellow paint out...
  10. Having checked in my copy of Geoff Kent's book, it seems likely that the axle box covers on class A tanks might be yellow, especially when new; however, he sadly fails to mention any colour for the class B...
  11. I wasn't suggesting for a minute that one should buy via that link, it was just to illustrate the product...
  12. My choice would be this... Positionable photo mount adhesive sheets Also available in rolls, I think about £85 for a 0.4 x 30 meter roll! Would last for ages... Alternatively, a similar product... https://www.selfadhesive.co.uk/tapes/double-sided-tapes/adhesive-sheets.html
  13. I do believe the OP is talking about shackles for the securing chains, not couplings...
  14. Just one question - I see that the packs retail at approx. £8 to £10. Is there more than one sheet per pack?
  15. When I had a similar issue, it was suggested (by John Isherwood himself I think!) that I buy the necessary sheet, use the required item and then sell the remainder...
  16. The last time I bought some it was no longer blue... ...I hope it's the same as I have two bottles! I haven't used it yet as I still have a little of the original blue stuff left. p.s. Thought I'd better check that I hadn't been sold two bottles of water! All seems okay, it works.
  17. There's no info on the website to suggest there's been any sort of problem, or indeed any updates at all. It's a good start, but I think I'd be inclined to email first to see if you get some sort of response... Thinking about it I'd be surprised if there isn't someone on this forum who knows more?
  18. I now have one on order... turns out I'm the first to buy one, and they've been available since 2017!
  19. That's very helpful, thanks. I might have to buy a second kit! (As there's parts for two wagons on the etch... )
