  1. Actually I’m not sure if a £500 turntable is for me. Do you know of a cheaper alternative?
  2. So what I think I should do is use peco code 100 on the scenic section and Hornby track in the fiddleyards. What do you think?
  3. I know what you mean about the curves but this is a relatively expensive hobby so cheap track is useful.
  4. Lightning moment! For the BRM users on phones, where not all is available in mobile mode... a BRM APP! Just a thought. I actually thought it already existed.
  5. I say an LED. I know it’s not correct but it’s easier to say and sounds better. But that’s just me.
  6. Having read the BRM for a while I haven’t seen a layout with Hornby track. It’s always peco. Why? Hornby track is relatively cheap and a good way to start. I’m using it. If you’re concerned with looks weather it with an airbrush and you can’t tell anyway. So why not?
  7. I hope so. Pilots need to be good at maths and that’s what I want to be.
  8. Thank you all for the kind words. I’m using the Donegal Railway Restoration Society and it’s in 00. Yes, I know it was narrow gauge but I don’t want to replace my entire collection. I will definitely look at that book, it seems perfect. Thanks!
  9. Yes, I am aware that it was a narrow gauge Railway. But as I’m 13 I had some trains and stock in 00 so I’m going to go with the re-gauging. As long as it looks the part, that’s what really matters
  10. Yes sorry. It’s 00 gauge and the longest length would be a Hornby flying Scotsman with no stock.
  11. That may well be but if you follow the link above your head will hurt too.
  12. Excellent answer Andy. I accept your and phil’s points. If someone picks up the magazine they need to see simple stuff. After all, we do want more people to take up the hobby. Well done to the BRM.
  13. Thanks but I’m a steam man through and through. The last line for this area closed in 1955 so diesel electric isn’t appropriate. Mabye in the future manufactures will notice the little island to the left and make some RTR locos and stock.
  14. Looking for as much info on the Londonderry and Lough Swilly Railway as possible for an 00 gauge layout.
  15. Yeah. I’ll probably just use English engines altered with the L & L S R sign on the side. Most people won’t be able to tell. It’s a pity though.
  16. Congratulations to RMweb. My head now hurts.
  17. Yeah. Me and my dad are kinda doing it together but I’m in charge. Oh dear
  18. Could someone mabye add an Irish Rail section in special interests? There is English and Scottish and Welsh but no Irish. Just wondering.
