  1. Never stopped them with the P2. They've only done LNER Green
  2. I think they're a little long for a plank though to be fair
  3. Give it to KR Models, they love weird stuff
  4. Saint Class with toplight coaches... Calling it right now
  5. Wouldn't be surprised if Hornby had the Manor already tooled and ready to go. Who knows what they've been slowly developing in secret. I mean the terriers kind of came out of nowhere.
  6. Might file down a big ol nail and hide one on the layout
  7. One of the reasons I feel that Turbomotive is more likely to come from Hornby. They have proved that they are not afraid of producing historical one offs or loco's with only a few members ever created. The P2, W1 and Rocket are prime examples. I personally would love an RTR Turbomotive. Probablty won't get a W1 because the version I wanted sold out in seconds but I'd be primed and ready if Turbomotive got announced. Could even include the modifications made in later life, like with Hush Hush...
  8. That monolith is up to £11,100 now, with just under a week to go https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Authentic-Isle-Of-Wight-Monolith-As-Seen-On-Tv-And-Social-Media-project-repair/133603946872
  9. I am looking for complete valve gear sets for both sides which I understand are rare as all hell. The repairs I've made are holding for now but the castings are just turning to dust.
  10. Are the wheels and valve gear largely interchangable?
  11. oooh Nice, might pick one up I don't know. Sadly not going to revive my rebuilt examples though.
  12. I thought the recent Railroad one was the one with the problem. I seem to remmeber a review by Sam's Trains showing that the guide wheel at the back is not sprung and so lifts off the rear set of drivers. Funnily enough the one with the traction tyre on it.
  13. I wouldn't mind them just re-introducing the Merchant Navy to the range, if only in the hope the valve gear can be sold as spares...
  14. Reckon someone told them that they're valuable. Get a load of these from the same seller. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hornby-R4141-R4141A-R4142-LMS-Coronation-Scot-Maroon-Gold-Coaches-OO-Gauge/353310230189?hash=item5242ee46ad:g:yxwAAOSwqDJfP6Ht
  15. Thought I'd give an update on that terrier from a few posts back. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hornby-SOUTHERN-TERRIER-LOCO-OO-NEEDS-TLC-SPARES-OR-REPAIR/383813616031 Clearly someone thought it was worth splashing out more that me to save it. More power to em I suppose
  16. Question is do I realise the vision the original owner had (or maybe lack of vision, must be blind) and improve it or do I source spares and return it to original condition... That is of course if I decide to burn £15 and if nobody else bids on it
  17. I honestly feel bad for that terrier. Almost enough that I want to salvage it... Does that make ME mad?
  18. Wouldn't that just be the Ivatt class 4 only running as a 4-6-0 and not a 2-6-0? High running plate, smaller wheels, larger boiler
  19. Either they really don't want to sell anything or petethemole is right
  20. Ummm what exactly are they thinking with this? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hornby-R533-Clockwork-Super-Set-Vintage-00-Gauge-Train-Set/254767952625?hash=item3b515a72f1:g:LuUAAOSwcuVfnSlL
  21. Why has he wrote Mince Pies in the description?
  22. When did our old buddy Gostude get into the classic car game? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PONTIAC-1989-TRANS-AM-FIREBIRD-with-21K-ORIGINAL-MILES-5-0-V8-TARGA-TOP/363162168821?hash=item548e26edf5:g:z4kAAOSw2QteFg7L If they're anything like the loco's he sells, they're probably held together with filler and zipties
  23. Local highstreet already has the lights up, along with many shops having trees up in the window
