  1. Sorry I meant he never refunded me when the PayPal refunds were going out (and I did ask for one). I also agree he didn't announce the class 17 as dead ( my terminology) but it was put on ice and the money refunded which was not the case regarding the apt/ PayPal refunds.
  2. Well he never refunded my apt deposit. The class 17 was announced as dead so those should have been refunded. Just checked the apt newsletters he sent as he stopped posting on rmweb shortly after September. As far as I can tell he never announced the apt had reached 300 crowdfunders/ deposits.
  3. Actually found this a bit lower down page 49 the project needed 300 product 'expressions' converted to orders. like i said, i am confident this will happen, but may take time. after all, the initial 'spurt' last time went quiet and then picked up....... almost 'ebbing and flowing' as it progressed, can usually account for this ebbing and flowing by holidays, christmas, job changes, other more important bills to pay etc. Did he refund over 100 people- I can't see it myself!
  4. This is on page 49 of the apt thread posted September last year. The previous page states we need 300 pre orders or thereabouts. Hi everyone, A month in since the new e-commerce site went live, and a few figures for you. We are currently at 168 deposit payments for the APT so i think thats quite good bearing in mind some haven't received e-mails or read social media that often, and as the info will be propagating through the media and more of the original expressions and refunded orders will be back on board. As with the N gauge King, i cannot seem to get a 3D company to print the APT (4 cars) so if anyone knows someone who can print the APT from the STL files, then please PM me. Cheers Dave 1 GordonC reacted to this
  5. Are these track cleaning wagons effective ( I realise these are not out yet but similar Wagons have been produced before I believe)? thanks
  6. I realise neither of us have the numbers to back up the statements but I do not recall a huge amount of people saying they were not going to reinvest from memory I think he needed 300 orders and finished with about 168 ish. I don't believe he had the numbers in the first place but hoped to pick more up as the project continued or use funds from other projects to make up the numbers but I have no proof of this.
  7. I have tried to update spreadsheet but unable ,I paid £186 7 car APT £60 for 2x class 92 thanks mark jackson
  8. Not everyone paid £250 for an apt my deposit was £186 ish as I wanted the 7 car version. It would appear we have been lied to for sometime and strung along while the business struggled. The promises of tooling round the corner was just vapourware. I kind of get he took money from other parts of the hobby that 186 and the deposits for 2 Class 92's could have been spent elsewhere giving money to shops and manufacturers who are actually producing something. He has taken in my view a substantial amount of money out of the hobby!
  9. Don't mind delay but curious does this put the 92 back or will it actually leapfrog the Deltic?
  10. Following criticism on this thread I thought you know what maybe I will give Rails one last go and guess what- 6 class 90's have been through my hands and the latest 2 are faulty. The railfreight version has the floating bogie issue and the intercity version has a buffer missing with no sign of it in the box. Have contacted Bachmann as if they can supply the buffer I will fit myself the railfreight one not decided yet but refund is looming large in my thinking!

Do the liquidators. Just look at current assets or where those assets have come from. Would they delve into Daves financial past and pick up whether he paid vat and if everything was above board although Dave did have an accountant who should have been advising him correctly.

Sorry I think you have misinterpreted what I meant, as the magazines ran adverts as paid for by DJM there may be some crowdfunders who only knew and supported the projects via the magazine info/ advert so this may be the only way they find out the company is no more via a magazine article. I meant no more than that. Apologies to all if that's the way it was interpreted that was not my intention. edited to add apology

I would expect the news of the demise of Dj Models would be in each model magazine, headline and short factual paragraph especially that some of them will have carried an advert for one of his crowdfunding schemes.
  15. No idea where do rails get their stock from?
  16. Correct but on balance I would rather pay once to Bachmann and have them repaired than potentially having to send back to rails a third time.
  17. I have spoken to Bachmann they are fine with me sending them to them under the warranty so why the issue! I tried the returns thing it didn't work so I reckon if they go to Bachmann I should be guaranteed working models instead of a Russian roulette with rails stock.
  18. I understand how consumer rights work thank you however they have been back and to From rails and are still defective so I was going to make use of the manufacturers warranty which they offer rather than risk another faulty model which has to go back for the third time! Rails say they checked these before they were sent out but they are still faulty why would I want to risk it again.

JDave Jones (of djm) is a keen photographer and does have an online portfolio of pictures on line I have seen some of them but just to save confusion we could just blame all of the dave jones in the world in fact I am about to put dave Jones into Facebook and glare at all the pictures which come up.
  20. I agree I need to raise with retailer and have sent them an email to let them know as these are already replacement models but I want Bachmann to sort them under warranty. I am concerned if I send them back to the retailer that they may not have any without issues to send me so by sending to Bachmann they 'should' be sorted.
  21. The models were checked for the faults on the originals which were not bogie related (they were missing buffers etc) so while these have the full complement of buffers they also have droopy bogies! Am sending back to Bachmann let them sort it out bit annoyed I have to pay postage etc whereas rails paid for me to send them back first time.
  22. Received my 2 replacements from rails today and they both have the loose bogie issue, they were replaced for different reasons. Has anyone completed the repair at home. Have emailed Bachmann am not going back and too to rails to see what they suggest.

Sorry should have been clear the 92 is available on the hattons site. Obviously they don't ask for payment before the product arrives so no financial risk if you order one but it will never arrive!

Just looked in the bargains at hattons and they have over 10 of the green and blue Class 71 and you can still preorder a 92 if you want!
