Sorry should have been clear the 92 is available on the hattons site. Obviously they don't ask for payment before the product arrives so no financial risk if you order one but it will never arrive!

Just looked in the bargains at hattons and they have over 10 of the green and blue Class 71 and you can still preorder a 92 if you want!

Thanks that is a generous offer although not one I think you will need to pay out on. I may have not chosen my words wisely I think low blow should really read irrelevance I should think wether he did or did not win this cup in his teens has little to do with the subsequent rise and fall of dj models. Although I totally accept that if this never existed it could point to a pattern of behaviour which is less than honest!

Never in the field of toy trains has so much been owed to so many by one man. Apologies to everyone!

It kind of feels we are in the anger part of the grief cycle and people are grieving either over the money they lost or the model they will never get to own either that or we are in a mass counselling session where we all stand up for our turn and say my name is Mark I was ripped off by Dave Jones Either that or our male egos are struggling with the fact we had the wool pulled over our eyes! (Apologies to the female modellers who may also have been ripped off)! I do agree though the junior modeller thing is a bit of a low blow and not really related to what just happened.

I am confused about the cads did he produce them or did he subcontract them? If they were produced by the factory in china what info did they have. He scanned the apt but I don't recall any announcement that he scanned a 92 or a king of which both cads were shown.

Speaking of Phil Sutton I notice that the latest newsletter contains a couple of digs against manufacturers who release bits of information without saying anything and crowdfunding. Probably related to the news about Dave Jones. Just feel it's a little unprofessional and they don't need to do this their products speak for themselves.

I quite agree the 'I put my house on the line' comment needs to be stamped on. No one asked him to and no one made him do it. Dave took a calculated risk with his own money then took another risk with everyone else's. Unfortunately it hasn't paid off and although maybe to some not huge amounts but people have lost out. It may be money I won't miss but this doesn't mean I can't be annoyed about it. I know Dave may have lost more than most but lots of people have gone into liquidation before and yes it's crap but lots of people pick themselves up again and carry on. Dave has shown he can bounce back and he probably will but no venture he is part of will ever see my money.

  10. What are the many issues with it? Have seen queries over the glazing, cab steps and how the pantograph sits but other than the build problems which should be sorted by sending back to the retailer /Bachmann what else is there? cheers

But can they use the tooling if Dave holds the intellectual property rights or do they now belong to the liquidator also.

I have lost money and feel like we have been strung along for quite some time. The writing I think was on the wall a while ago but having said that I hope Dave can pick himself up and find himself a new career some distance from model railways!
  13. No the username had 299 at the end of it no location in wales though

So what should happen next will Dave be the one to email everyone and let them know what has happened with suggestions on how to get their money back through the credit card company or should it be the company his business is now registered with to sort all that out? At the moment all this is speculation with no official announcement from Dave himself although I agree all the signs are there and look bad.
  15. Thanks Jim but still happening will report my previous post to flag it up. mark
  16. I am having problems viewing this thread my iPad keeps reloading the previous page. Have tried 2 different browsers with no improvement. Does this happen to anyone else, is there a cure?
  17. Just received an invoice for the balance of my class 92 does this mean they are close?
  18. No idea about the m. Salah thing I spotted it too! Luckily the record shows who won how crap the match was will just fade into insignificance.
  19. As a Liverpool fan delighted that 'we' won but totally agree poor match considering how the semi- finals played out especially. Klopp said they had no fuel in the tank and neither team did I think it was played too long after the end of the domestic season and it showed. Penalty was lucky glad there was a second goal wouldn't have liked to have won 1-0 with that penalty the winner. Really hope next year it is spurs who get to the final and win just as long as it's not Liverpool they face. Hopefully this will now shut up that rent a gob Adrian Durham on talksport with his - yes but when you look at it what has Klopp actually won- his anti- Liverpool bias is obvious!
  20. I did wonder if Bachmann were planning to announce the peaks at this event but Heljan forced their hand.
  21. Interest registered really looking forward to this - is there any kind of timetable/ schedule available?
  22. Problems here also intercity class 90 buffers pinged off on opening the box and the railfreight version has a chip if you like to the paintwork between body side and roof panel although it's small I can't unsee it. Going back to rails tomorrow for replacemen. Gutted have waited a long time for these locos! mark
  23. It wasn't me your honour it was those other guys they made me do it! (I only said there was an announcement)!
  24. Yes he said no info until after the 17th but to which definition of 'slightly after that date' are we working too? To me that's a week or maybe 2 but to Dave it could be a month or so! Curious to see what the info will be not necessarily in a rush to find out.
  25. No one else seems to have mentioned this excerpt taken from a train mail email from february As an additional benefit for Bachmann Collectors Club members, we often arrange special discounts for selected event tickets and we have two such offers to tell you about this month. You can save money when booking advance tickets to both the London Festival of Railway Modelling in March (see details below) and the Great Central Railway's Model Event in June. The Model Event is already a favourite with many modellers and the 2019 event is set to be even better, with several new, as-yet unannounced models on course to be launched by Bachmann on the day. So more new announcements due seems we can't get through a month without something new announced. Can't decide if that's a good thing or not! mark
