  1. Still having axle box issues torn between sending model back for refund or cutting off the top of the box and glueing in place so it does not move. Model is the sound large logo which they don't have any of! Decisions decisions!!
  2. Wonder how to go about claiming my commission- all gone now yes I gave in! To be fair though I reasoned that the next run would be more expensive than these so it was (probably) a bargain!
  3. I believe it was 8 to start with!
  4. Hattons currently have 6 of these at £156 please buy them before my self discipline breaks!

    Hornby Class 56

Hattons have got 7 class 56 in dcr green don't know if this is the Livery you want? https://www.hattons.co.uk/389299/hornby_r3660_class_56_56303_in_devon_and_cornwall_railways_green/stockdetail.aspx
  6. Have been on website all night and order just now gone through! Even if Bachmann announce one will buy both!
  7. Still struggling to get on got as far as payment then it went! As a member of the NHS I really fancy one of these will leave for a while and hope they are available later.
  8. I think a similar thing happened with Hereford models over their limited class 108, someone posted it and they flew out the door. Hopefully a much needed financial shot in the arm for them at this difficult time.
  9. I think what I meant to say but didn't in my previous post is that I am surprised the delay is so short considering what is going on in the world and thank Bachmann for keeping us in the loop. I look forward to the next batch of announcements in may even though there may be some slippage from the 3 month delivery target it's no big deal.
  10. So in summary 117/ 121 delayed until June but still going ahead with the next 3 month announcement in May. thats fine thanks for the update.
  11. Also wondered the same thing there is nothing exceptional about it!
  12. I received the email and notice the 67 with 3 Wagons sold out very quickly again!
  13. But when we need toy trains on the interweb you are the man to see!!!!
  14. Well it is a key role he performs for us after all!
  15. Delivery systems may be overloaded but isn't that because everyone else is buying stuff online as that's the only way to get some items? As long as you don't mind it being delayed I don't see the issue. My local hospital/GP has the majority of stores delivered by the NHS supply chain with their own vans rather than Royal Mail so I wouldn't worry about holding up vital supplies. cheers
  16. Quite agree regarding the Hornby fanboy (girl) some of the fawning posts for Hornby from that particular poster over time have been cringeworthy I suspect Charlie may be expecting Hornby to announce a shed load of class 142 around the time his is released as per their usual spoiling tactics.
  17. Despite the issues I had with my first 2 I really like the collectors club version I picked up at Warley. No faults whatsoever and a constant performer on the layout.
  18. Thanks for the investigation my thought is to remove the axlebox covers cut them down so they don't interfere with the axle and glue them in place so they don't rotate. Mark
  19. I am a key worker and we stepped out of the clinic last night thinking no one will do it (and didn't ask for it either) as we are reserved miserable brits and we were shocked. In the middle of poulton le fylde we could hear clapping, cheering, car horns and fireworks I can tell you we were moved and judging by the comments on social media and our team whattsapp many of our staff were moved to tears. We all received a massive boost last night so thank you all. Although I must admit to feeling a bit of a fraud as a district nurse we have had no exposure yet to covid patients in our areas but by doing our job we are keeping the admissions to hospital down but I feel sure we will have contact soon! thanks again mark
  20. Thanks it was affixed with glue as there was a glue Mark underneath on the body and I wish i had taken a picture it wasn't slightly out of straight it was a definite slant but all sorted now. It probably moved just after being glued had I not had the issue with the axlebox I probably wouldn't have mentioned it.
  21. I kind of think they are more niggles but I have paid a hell of a lot for this model in my opinion for it to have niggles.I am confident though should I decide to return for a refund hattons usually excellent customer service will sort it for me.
  22. Got my 66789 today and to be honest a bit underwhelmed- one nameplate at an odd angle which has been removed and reglued and an axlebox which has now been reglued twice. Notice the loco has a slight wobble which I wonder has been caused when the axlebox covers were pushed on has pushed the wheel set slightly out of Gauge. Will have time to evaluate properly at the weekend and at that point will decide whether to return for refund or not. At the moment though not buying another. Bit gutted to be honest cheers mark
  23. I asked Ian at the Preston show about the website and he said he didn't intend to turn the website back on as it was a lot of work especially after a show and he needed to remove items. However in the current climate he may be rethinking that decision.

    Panic buying

Went in Aldi earlier and while I was there picked up a 16 toilet roll pack (there were quite a few available) we don't need it yet but I am worried that when we do i won't be able to find any so the panic buyers have panicked me into becoming a panic buyer! (I did leave loads on the shelf though honest)!
