    Why can so many sellers on ebay not be bothered to leave feedback? It's only a small niggle, but maybe I'll be petty and shop elsewhere.

      I think I'll take a leaf out of your book, Colin. When selling, I leave straight away but when buying, I leave as soon as the item arrives. I think in future, I'll wait to reciprocate. A high volume seller won't give a monkey's but a hobby seller might leave feedback if I haven't. As I said, it's only a small niggle.

      Millions of online consumer "reviews" don't pull any punches. What on earth is wrong with saying "I just bought something substandard from <insert company name here>? Better that than risk anyone else wasting their money.

      Agree. I've never found soldering iron burns to be relaxing. Getting a fishplate stuck under a fingernail doesn't reduce stress levels either.

    Was advised today that the cause of a almost flat battery on my car is the "Smart" technology that it has fitted. Apparently this stops the alternator from spending too long charging the battery because that saves fuel. This happens even when the charge is low owing to short journeys. Smart? PAH!

      Snap. Lock the driver's side with the key and the side loading door unlocks and the tailgate pops open. Bloody Peugeot. I'm just gonna leave it unlocked.
