  1. Noooo it’s all changed 😂 although it is nicer to look at!
  2. Pete - can you still produce these kits?
  3. You’ve answered your own question chap… likely be Q4 2025…
  4. The future is removable sections to allow for easy access… no more removing the whole body…
  5. But that’s the point… if you’ve got a layout that’s say… had Bachmann 37’s running with Hornby Mk2’s (for example), you’ve wired it into sections not directions (I can see why that would be handy)… along comes Mr (Or Mrs) Accurascale, mk2 nice shiney light up coaches… couple of 37’s etc… your in completely different kettle of fish from where you started…
  6. That’s exactly what could cause you to burn a coach out yes… unless you watch where you stop the set etc
  7. I’m not sure that is the summery… it’s got nothing to do with running… it’s about mass start up currrent, issues around pickups in coaches bridging districts potentially becoming damaged… not to mention the possibility of layout fires due to poor wiring practices… if your booster can solve the last one then I’d be amazed… once the layouts up and running as long as you don’t have any long shorts (which in the perfect world never happens) your all good?
  8. I don’t fully agree with that… the sound issues have only just been admitted to unless I missed something (turning the sound CV isn’t admitting it)? And that wasn’t on this thread, the motors seem to be another “send it back and we’ll look (and say it’s your controller, tweak CV’s… )” but not actually coming out with the answer of what’s gone wrong with them… sadly it’s not something that’s going to go away anytime soon… there’s enough feedback about issues outside of RM and even if people don’t want to send things to Accurascale towers (for whatever reason that is!) the feedback is still out there… plenty of posts on social media / YouTube if you go looking… that being said the fact that the Accurascale team do try to engage on here, even if it sometimes doesn’t come across as positively (I’d imagine there’s some amount of hair pulling over the motors and sound issues - even if ESU did design it!), the fact they’ve not gone and hidden in a corner denying their existence is great!
  9. I’ve got a dead motor if anyone wants it… apparently it’s rare so must be worth at least £5 and a mars bar 👍 in positive news at least ESU are looking into the sound cutting out issues (from the class 66 thread)… can’t have been the track… controller… position of the earth in relation to the sun the moon and Saturn after all…
  10. Be nice to see a 319, with the tooling provisions for the 769’s (but not with the poor cooling fan design😂)…
  11. Having collected my 12 in the horendous weather last week I better actually check them!😂
  12. Be interesting if accurascale do an investigation what issues they find with it
  13. Can you provide evidence that’s got anything to do with it? The variable is the loco (well the motor), not the track! Point proven when myself and a colleague ran our BRAND NEW out the box 37’s, on the same layout, for the same time (because we were enjoying watching them go round and round filling the layout with tractor sounds) and his motor is now toast (in the same way as has been described in various places, and privately with others having issues), and mine (and my others I’ve got so far touch wood) are ok, clearly shows it couldn’t be the track or the controller! i understand this is a “minor issue” In your eyes, and the volumes you’ve sold it probably is a low percentage, but the blaming the customer’s setup isn’t the answer. Looking at the evidence you’ve already had privately from people is the way forward. The same people who gave you the info trying to help not to go against you!
  14. but have you had to do it on any other modern (as in recent non Lima) loco? I’ve had plenty of second hand stuff, and ran them longer than a friends 37, and his had issues and none of the second hand items which will have far more hours running had problems? I don’t feel this is “normal maintenance” in the modern world of model railway loco’s at all… telling people it’s normal maintenance is just hiding the issue, not working towards a solution?
  15. Except motors? As another member has stated… 4 months and no motors…
  16. Some nice person with a computer dictates these things… the computer does come out with some stupid things sometimes…
  17. I assumed there was something wrong as the headlight wasn’t on! Didn’t know it was actually a thing 👍
  18. then your one of the lucky people? I totally get it’s not a majority issue, nobody has said it is… but that doesn’t mean there isn’t an issue, which may become a further issue in the future? If accurascale are struggling to get motors, which as someone else has illuded is the case (or they don’t care - which I very much doubt is the case for the record, they’re support team is good as gold!), perhaps this highlights it’s more of an issue then people realise? I know 3 other people who have had 37’s, and 3 of them have had one or more issues, magically fixed by a new motor? Tell me that’s coincidence… that’s two people who run them round extensive layouts and had issues with an hour or two… just for clarity I’ve also run a few of my 37/ on the same layout and had no issues, so before someone jumps on the “must be the track etc” that clearly isn’t the case…
  19. luckily I’ve not had one die yet… but I know a colleague who has… so he’s got me some motors in stock ready for when mine fail👍
  20. im going to suggest 100% you would loose your warranty…
  21. if all else fails there’s a member on here who has the replacement motors to a differing spec…
