That's her.  All you need do is leave ALL the CAD work in the callbox off the Trumpington road (by the Ox pub), and she'll be safely with the landlady 45 minutes later.

I'm so sorry for the puppy, but we have to complete this project.

Found this while looking for something else entirely. Nice George Heiron painting of GT3. Unfortunately the feature which says 'scale drawings' turns out to be the well-known internal equipment layout diagram reproduced to 4mm:ft scale so only really useful for length and height dimensions, though I have to say I found the printed version of the diagram somewhat sharper than the versions found when I Googled GT3 images. We managed to get hold of the full magazine.

Full sound version? Good news – I wondered if they would arrive at the same time as the non-sound or later. First pictures of a model in a customer’s hands! Excellent. Many thanks for posting.

Both sound and ready version are dispatched at the same time.

Hi Michael. Not wishing to be pushy, but any idea when models ordered down under will be sent? Are they shipping from UK?

Your deliver will ship from the UK.  So unfortunately you'll be one of the last to receive it.  We may look at a different solution for the next shipment.

This is the correspondence that I had with KRM back on 25.11.2019:

On reflection, that's a bit worrying, since if it's sent from the UK, with Swiss tax already applied, the chances are that I will still have to pay tax as well as import duty on entry. That would make me quite sad.

Can you email me so I can into this please?

Hi Mike, i think everyone who is expecting the GT3 would like some idea as to when these models are due to arrive in the UK.

    Hi Brian,

We can't answer that yet until UK Customs releases the container from the port.

I asked that question already bout the VAT to KR and no reply.

I do not fancy paying out another 21% plus fees possibly 70-80 notes. I would not be to bothered getting one as the price then becomes daft for something that will be going around in Circles.

Looking at the order there is no VAT Listed Separately, Just the GT3 price and Delivery so I fear for the worst now

    George.

Send your question to keith@krmodels.co.uk as we didn't receive any email from you.

  9. To clear up some of the confusion that is surrounding the delivery.

If you live in the UK, have a UK address, and have paid for a model to be delivered to the UK, then you have paid UK VAT on the model. We have paid the UK VAT so that the model can be imported from China. Once its here, it shall be distributed in the UK.

As for other countries outside of the UK, we are not registered at the moment, and we are still working out the changing laws, rules, and guidelines.

If you have any further questions more tailored to your situation, feel free to email me at michael@krmodels.co.uk

The market is likely the same as the Hunslet - if you buy an industrial shunter you may want an industrial wagon for it to shunt - they are internal user wagons are they not?

Question, does a Torpedo need an orange light inside to make it glow when full?

Yes, this is part of the DCC operation of the model.

Very interested in the big Hunslet, and possibly the torpedos.  Which prototype is the torpedo based on - Scunthorpe to match up with the Hunslets?

Yes correct.  We have been working very closely for months with them.

These choices are very niche, even within the niche world of industrial locomotives and operations.

Have you done any research prior to this announcement to determine market demand for a 12-axle Torpedo wagon? As it is at CAD stage I have to ask - one presumes that these are outside UK-loading gauge and will need design compromises to the bogies to negotiate typical set track curves and points? I have no agenda here , but these are questions which immediately spring to mind and I would want to hear much more on.

    Paul A.

These run today in the Scunthorpe steel works.  They are scaled to OO gauge track.

  12. We have a lot of emails following the Hornby range announcement and have decided to block announce what we intend to build over the next 12 months.  These are just that 'intentions', not up for purchase yet.  While all three projects are in various stages right now, we are NOT asking for any commitment yet.  Nor are these 'crowdfunded' projects.  Please do not read anymore into this announcement other than it is an announcement.

Forgive me if I'm missing something but why should Mark have to lose 10% when all he has to do is place a second order for the additional wagons that he wants?

I suggested exactly that in our email chain, but refused to do such a thing because he didn't want to pay for delivery twice.

Shopify orders can be edited by the merchant within 60 days of creation.

I stand corrected. Our website technician is an idiot then. Thank you, will fix accordingly.

EDIT: I should note, this works for orders solely through Shopify. That wouldnt work for our current partial payment system.

That's a choice that the proprietor makes when the payment platform is set up.  Were you were fully aware when you initially ordered ?

As a trader I would use the function to stop fickle purchases then cancellations.

Unfortunately for us, that's how Shopify works. We haven't been able to find a way to allow us to amend orders in the manner that Mark wants us to, if they even support it. As such, the only way we can achieve what Mark wants us to do is to cancel the original order, refund the money minus the service charge, and he can re-make the order as he intends.
