Well Germany is, cases from French hotspot are being flown to German hospitals which have spare capacity. The UK on the other hand is exporting COVID-19 around the World https://edition.cnn.com/2020/04/01/africa/watoto-childrens-choir-coronavirus-intl/index.html Many of the new cases in China are students returning from the West with many from the UK testing positive but being asymptomatic -

Talking of autopsies, here's a German Doctor at work on suspected COVID-19 victims. I'm surprised that he is not wearing a N95 or FPP3 grade mask rather than a general issue tissue type. The rib cage requires considerable force to open up to inspect the lungs which are huge in size, hence the tools including chisels and spreader. The virus must still be alive in the body? https://www.bild.de/bild-plus/regional/hamburg/hamburg-aktuell/koryphaee-prof-dr-klaus-pueschel-ich-untersuche-die-corona-leichen-69776182,view=conversionToLogin.bild.html -

Corona-virus - Impact of the Health Situation worldwide

On the 24th I listed the daily number of deaths in the EU countries and UK being just over a thousand for the first time. Some modelling was predicting a doubling of the daily total in 3 days. This has turned out to be accurate, today's total is 2237. It's worth pointing out that the UK's total COVID-19 deaths per capita is still only 11 per million. Italy has the highest rate at 151 and Germany at low end with 4 deaths per million people. -

If you want to avoid crowds at the supermarket go later. My local Tesco is open till 10pm. I went at 8pm and there were only 4 other customers there. No fresh meat at all but most other things in stock including shelves groaning under the weight of kitchen and bog roll. The night shift were refilling stuff. I wore a mask, just a normal FFP1 grade you use for DIY with basic filtration valve. Health professionals use FP3 or breathing gear, even so, a basic mask is very good at stopping atomization of your coughs and sneezes. That's why people in Asia wear them when you have a cold. This guy in the same store took a belt and braces end of the World approach https://www.somersetlive.co.uk/news/somerset-news/hazmat-suit-coronavirus-buying-tesco-3964751 -

If you look at the active cases chart for China it's fallen rapidly to 9000 now, from a peak of 58.000 on the 17th of Feb. Strict lockdown in the hotspots has clearly worked. No fancy modelling required..... https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/china/ (note: do not confuse total cases graphs with active cases graphs as some in the media do) -

The figures from Northern Italy show it's not just old people who end up in hospital: 5.6 % of patients with Covid-19 are aged between 30 and 39; 10.7 % 40-49 17.4 % 50-59 17.7 % 60-69 21.4 % 70-79 18.4 % 80 + 8.8% unknown -

They must be spending a fair amount on fuel visting model shops unless they are stealing that too... If they try do sell in their home country they may be in for a shock, I doubt there is much interest in OO?

I don't own any Hornby but some of ones I've seen on Ebay have the upper cylinder timing rod fixed in position. Do Hornby understand how Walschaerts valve gear works? Even my old Wrenn City Class as an overscale version that works and the likes of Roco-Fleischmann do in smaller Ho scale

The London Festival of Railway Modelling- 21 & 22 March 2020

A vaccine doesn't stop you catching flu of course. It helps the body’s immune system to recognize the pathogen the next time it enters the body and fight it. In the UK, the Winter flu vaccine is often ineffective if the predicted strains injected don't match the actual virus in circulation. The 7 people who died on the Diamond Princess were clearly fit enough to go on holiday, however it's to early to produce a demographic other than the normal one: over 60 and your chances of complications and death increase. -

The stats on the WHO website show a mortality rate of 0.1% for Influenza and around 3% for covid-19 although it's likely to be less than that due to unknown mild carriers. Last week a 23 year old female athlete died of it and in Italy 49 people died in 1 day so I expect your assertion that it is no different from flu is wrong. -
1.2 million views a month but most will be dipping in and out. He will have the watch times on the analytics page. After the negative Tango review I asked him if Heljan had been in touch and he said no. I can only conclude they are an absolute shower!
