  1. Class 37402 'Stephen Middlemore' at York, 18/09/2020 Jack
  2. A GBRf 66 (66717) dragged a rake up from Bounds Green to Worksop on Saturday whilst I was there, I believe it was set BN05 with DVT 82210 which has lost LNER branding. Jack
  3. 04/07/2020; the first day out along the ECML for me since February 1st. Gamston LC, a couple of miles south of Retford 1Y84 York - King's Cross Mk IV DVT 82205, with 'Flying Scotswoman' livery 91130 'Lord Mayor of Newcastle Just north of Eaton Lane LC 1A37 Leeds - King's Cross Mk IV DVT 82225 91105 Then up to Doncaster, at the 'Mallard Bridge' which overlooks the old RMT platforms 66715 'Valour' and 66766 are parked ahead of the line-up of off-lease 91s. 91118 'The Fusiliers' leads 91102 'City of York', and I presume the line-up behind is the same locomotives which have been there now for some time. 1S25 King's Cross - Edinburgh 91119 'Bounds Green - Intercity Depot 1977-2017' I've also decided to add the link to my Flickr album of Class 91 photos and videos. Click on the picture below to reach it: Cheers, Jack
  4. I'll see whether I'm any good at finishing these off first! Jack
  5. I've never noticed the fact that the DB logo varies between white on the red background, or red in a white box. Jack
  6. 29.05.20 - 5Z44 - 1100 Keighley to Worksop Down Reception 144001 'Penistone Line Partnership' is seen passing Swinton (S. Yorks). Jack
  7. 28/05/20 - 5Z43 0906 Doncaster to Laira T.& R.S.M.D 43378 leads 43304 and a rake of mk3 trailers (not in a correct formation) towards Elsecar. 43378 Distant shot of 43304 trailing; Elsecar station is located in the cutting the train is heading into. Jack
  8. Elsecar, 17.5.20 43046 leads 43045 on the 1C61 Leeds - St Pancras service 43046 43045 Jack
  9. Following on from my dad's posts, here are a few I've taken today. 45050/83 Leeds - St Pancras 43050 43083 43064/58 St Pancras - Leeds 43064 43058 Jack
  10. Do they have spare power cars? I know for certain that 43155 is still in use with GWR however it doesn't appear on these lists. Jack
  11. VTEC began painting the cab roof on 91s white for something to do with the heat in the cab if I remember correctly, so 111 will have just been part of this process. Quite a few of the 91s have it, it just gets covered by the dirt on the roof. Edit: Having had a quick look through photos, it seems the only 91 (that is in VTEC/Special Livery) to not have a white cab roof is 110 Jack
  12. Spent some time at Doncaster and York on Saturday, 1st February. The lighting wasn't too great so I've messed around with a couple of the images. 91102 City of York. Despite several rumours that it was no longer with LNER, as of Saturday it definitely was! Following on from recent posts in this thread, what remains of 91108. The most noticeable recent piece to be removed is the pantograph. 91105 91131... ... and again at York. I was going to spend a bit of time on York, however after just sitting down on platform three, 91110 came into the station. To others it might not be significant, however it has always been my favourite loco and I've never had a chance to get it for haulage whilst in it's BBMF livery. A quick sprint down the station solved that issue, the day being worth it to me just for that! At York... ...and Doncaster. Aside from it being my favourite, the plaque demonstrates the reason why I feel this loco should be preserved. 91121 91107 Skyfall MkIV DVT 82230 91114 Durham Cathedral MkIV DVT 82223 91129 91101 Flying Scotsman 91104. Another 91 which was rumoured to not be in ECML service anymore. These seem to have remained in service in place of 91122 and 91128, which have recently been debranded and moved to Leicester. Plenty of Hitatchi units running about now, LNER, Hull Trains and TPE variants were seen on Saturday. First time I've been since the HSTs have finished, so it was a major disappointment when the Aberdeen/Inverness trains come through the middle and you can't hear them from under Hexthorpe bridge! Either way still nice to see plenty of 91s about, for now. Jack
  13. A few photos from recently. Doncaster, 01/02/2020 - 144017 144005 144023 144015 144023, with 801213 in the background 144010 Elsecar - 144001 'The Penistone Line Partnership' - 05/02/2020 144014 - 06/02/2020 Jack
  14. Credit has to go to 4630 for this... 144005 was the last member of the class I required for haulage. Seeing that it was running services close to me made me hopeful I could catch it soon, and sure enough today I saw it working a Leeds - Sheffield service. Quick look on RTT told me when it would be working the other way, so I left home two hours earlier than needs be and caught it. 144005 at Elsecar The first class I've recorded travelling on all of, not bad to say I've been on all 23 now in the five months since September! Jack
  15. I'd be happy with this! West Yorkshire rovers will be used if this is the case. Jack
  16. 28/01/20 Destined to preserved at the GCR(N), 144003 is seen at Barnsley working a Sheffield - Leeds service. I imagine it won't have the volume of passengers use it in preservation as it did on this service, standing down the corridors as usual on the peak time services. Seen alongside 195001. Not the best photo as the 195 had just started moving and the camera refocused as the picture was taken. Also nice to hear that 144004 has a future at the Aln Valley Railway. Jack
  17. It was definitely on the list when I last looked Jack
  18. Bit random this I know, but 144021 has just passed Elsecar at speed. A little curious to what working this was I have checked RTT and found it to be ' 5B58 1435 Sheffield to Huddersfield '. ECS, so obviously not stopping anywhere along the route. Never previously noticed this as a working before, does anybody know if it is a one off or a regular working? Edit - just looked into it and the passenger service at that time was cancelled. Presumably making up time Jack
  19. A few pictures from today, 23/1/20 Barnsley - 144019 working the Sheffield to Huddersfield service 144023 working the Sheffield to Huddersfield service 144012 working the Leeds to Sheffield local service. Seen first in Barnsley then at Elsecar. Took a couple of interior shots to show the differences between this and the rest of the class. Jack
  20. This would explain why the Sheffield to Leeds stoppers which were mainly 142s in the recent past are now mainly 144s. Jack
  21. Hi, I have also not seen a 142 since around mid December, and with the number of 195s one the line I doubt they will return. Between September and early December the Sheffield to Huddersfield was almost always a 158, however since then three car 144s have returned and it is very rare that anything else works the diagrams. It is very occasionally a two car 144, 150 or 158. The Leeds locals are a combination of mainly two and three coach 144s, however a few more 150s and 158s end up on this too. Leeds to Nottingham is 158s and 195s, and the Leeds to Lincoln appears to almost always be a 195 now. The Leeds to Sheffield fast is generally a 158, although I have seen 150s and 144s do this from time to time. Hope this helps Jack
  22. 144002 at Elsecar, 08/01/20 Followed by the crowd of people who weren't allowed onto the train as it was at capacity, taken a couple of minutes after it had left! I suppose to an extent this shows how Pacers weren't really designed for urban commuter running... Jack
