My Southern one turned up yesterday though it had a couple of the previously mentioned items pop off (one buffer and the cab roof) so thanks for the heads up that these items were quick repairs. It looks lovely but I won't be able to run it for a while so cant attest to its running qualities.

My attitude is atm as an under 30, who has several hobbies on the go, is to get the heavier ground work done so that if/when we are alittle more limited by family life i can quietly work away in the evenings. These coaches will happily work with my southern and GWR engines for a fun train which isn't as long as if made from birdcages. @Les1952I keep missing Buss pass Opera but do enjoy the annual festival. Charles Court are worth a watch as they have a show based around a train ride for this years festival alongside their Iolanthe.

Glamping is an unexpected turn but have seen it in other areas of interest. The last of a particular freighter aircraft was recently sold to become a glamping pod but thats gone quiet atm.

True, but Hornby is a small UK based company. So if it does come into force they would be in the judicial area.

Would the proposed "right to repair" legislation change manufacturers spares provisions? or would this sort of product not come into it.

Yep, had it for the generic southern coaches. Just tried another retailer so see if they do better and will be switching Hornby pre orders away from Hattons in future.

Just had an email from Hatton's saying they cant fulfil my pre order on the southern ones. This is getting ridiculous between Hornby and Hatton's.

A family member who works in marine shipping has said the problem they have atm is finding crews to go sail the ships out of china. they have at least three in dock ready to go but no-one willing to go there and retrieve them at the present time
